Green timer light won't stop flashing on mitsubishi ws 73711.

the green light blinking is normal if set has been unplugged--when set is plugged back it should blink for about 70 seconds and then go out--then you can try to turn it on---it is the DM unit inside the set booting up.If the light just blinks and never stops you have likely bad caps in the DM unit---there are kits available for that. The other possible reason is that so called reset switch may be bad--fairly easy way to find that out and it is more common than you would think, let me know if you have questions.SD TECH

How do I dispose of a Mitsu WS-73711 that quit working?

LIKELY it is fixable, most landfills will not take this as it contains Glycol which is a toxic material---If in a large city in the USA for example there are people who will come pick it up for free and send to a recycle center. Also in USA list it for free on Craigslist or in Canada for example kajiji.

After the tv has been

Tis a common problem. its a safety feature. Some component in the systems heats up and causes an overload therefore the power supply shuts down so that no further damage is caused. If you are a technician then check the critical components like the H-Out, FBT or the video(jungle) ICs. some regulators can also pose this problem..
See a technician if you are not a professional.

All the best

The power went out yesterday.

Thats a very common problem caused by weak capacitors on the DM board. When power is lost the caps discharge and when the power is restored they cannot recharge so the timer led will blink non stop. You can get the DM repair kit for your model from www.tvrepairworld.com it contains the upgraded capacitors and the CD with repair instructions.

Common Problem #1) Convergence has gone out

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
  • TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.
Here are some pics of convergence problems.

Common Problem #2) CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

When you turned it on the screen works fine for

Hello,

The cause of this problem is either a bad lamp or a faulty t-com board.

Have the television unplugged for a while, lets say for about an hour or two, then you open it uo using a screwdriver, then you assess the lamp for any fault, if it looks burnt, then it means you need to replace the lamp, but if it does not look burnt, then you have to locate the t-com board and replace it with a new one.

Some of this rear projection television used to have about 1 or 3 lamos, so be sure to check every one of them. Then replace the faulty one.

Take care and good luck

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Mitsubishi 73711 HDTV Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked TV without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, press the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time. This process temporarily unlocks your TV.

When you enter the V-Chip Lock menu, pressing the number 9 and the QV button on the original TV remote control at the same time will delete your old password and prompt you to enter a new passcode. Pressing HOME at this time will cancel the entire passcode.

I hope that helps.

Mitsubishi DLP 73 inch TV WD-73738 is blinking 6 red and 1 yellow, replaced the color wheel, and still having the same problem?

The lamp is not enabled possibly due to the colour wheel motor not turning. Any broken glass jamming it? Or the lamp ballast has failed due to an old/worn lamp.

I have a mitsubishi dlp tv model wd 60738 and when i turn it on the power button blinks for a second and then it stops but no picture and after while turns off

Most likely you need to replace the projection bulb. You can find them online. DLP sets are famous - or infamous - for burning out the bulbs/lamps.

Mitsubishi VCR HS-U580 guide rollers not moving forward all the way. Cassette would not load. Also noticed drum not spinning when powered on

Your Mitsubishi VCR HS-U580 looks to have a problem with the information rollers and drum. Here are some things to check: Look for something blocking the VCR or cassette compartment that would possibly be stopping the guide rollers. Check the belt that drives the VCR mechanism. If it is loose or broken, you may also need to substitute it. Clean the video heads using a head-cleaning cassette to make certain they're not dirty. See if the drum motor is working. If it is not spinning, there may be an issue with the motor. If the trouble persists, it's an exact idea to get assistance from a professional technician or contact Mitsubishi's purchaser support for advice. Be cautious when dealing with electronic devices, and if you are not certain what to do, it's great to get assistance from an expert.
