How do i take out the ink cartridge

I have an epson stylus C40UX printer. can't find the instruction booklet - the printer is out of ink and i can't figure out how to take out the cartridge to change it.

Simply lift up the cover and the print head should move to the middle and lift the cartridge slowly and carefully out of the holder.

Which button has the red light or which LED light? Is it flashing or steady red light? turn it off and check for any obstruction and double check if you installed ink cartridges properly.

well lift the cover up on the from you will see the cartridges right in the center at the bottom. their will be plastic clips holding them in push on them and that will release the cartridge

followed the recommended procedure for changing ink cartridge,however although cartridge moved backwards and forwards it never stopped in the position to change it but remained under the housing on the right side of the unit
