I only use Word Perfect. The printer was working fine then one day it wouldn't print a #10 envelope, the only type I use. I un-installed and re-installed the software but it still won't print an envelope. It prints regular pages from emails without any problem and documents I tpye on Word Perfect. I don't know what to do? Any help would be appriciated. Thanks, Chuck
I got the printer to print envelopes again. I completely uninstalled the printer, then reinstalled it by simply pluging the USB connection in. After I had first uninstalled it after the envelope problem started I had been using the 720 printer CD to reinstall it, and it still wouldn't print envelopes. I looked for and found the printer installition instructions and saw that I didn't need the CD to install it. (It was causing a software conflict). The Dell 720 Printer came with my Dell Dimension E310 PC new and the printer software was already on the hard drive. All I had to do was plug in the USB cable, and the printer was up and running like new again. Don't forget, if you don't want Dell to monitor your printer use, DO NOT check the box to allow that when it comes up during installation, other wise you'll get that icon showing up. Hope this helps. Chuck
For details about how to load an envelope into the printer, see
the user's manual.
The procedure for performing envelope printing is as follows:
1. Fold down the envelope flap.
2. When loading the envelope in the rear
tray, orient the envelope so that the flap is on the left and the folded surface
is facing down.
3. Open the printer driver setup window, and select Envelope from the Media Type list on the
Main tab.
4. Click the Page
Setup tab, and select Youkei 4, Youkei 6, Comm. Env. #10, or DL Env. for Page Size.
5. Select Landscape
for Orientation.
6. Click OK.
When you execute print, the information is printed on the
envelope.
