when you print envelopes you have to choose the envelopes in the printer settings then only machine knows that envelope is printing. when you don't select envelope in printer settings when you sent a print, the printer knows the a normal paper is coming through. the difference is that the envelope is a bit thick the normal paper. when envelope is selected in printer properties then the printer adjusts its settings to print on envelopes.
there is either a tray that pulls out in the front or the back thats adjustable... check your operations guide or sparing that consult kyocera help desk

Be sure you have set the PRNIT PREFFERENCES on your program that you are using to print the envelope to accept a #10 envelope and not 8.5x11 paper, you ALSO must set the PRINTER PREFERNECE to MANUAL FEED and not automatic so it won't look to the paper tray.

Choose
envelopes that are close to 20-lb paper in weight and thickness. Also,
make sure that the adhesive on the envelope is capable of withstanding
the heat that the fuser puts out to keep the printing on the page. If
you don’t, the envelopes will come out of the printer already sealed.
If envelopes are coming out of the printer wrinkled, they may be too
stiff for the paper path. Open the rear of the printer and let them
exit at that location instead.
I got the printer to print envelopes again.
I completely uninstalled the printer, then reinstalled it by simply pluging the USB connection in.
After I had first uninstalled it after the envelope problem started I had been using the 720 printer CD to reinstall it, and it still wouldn't print envelopes.
I looked for and found the printer installition instructions and saw that I didn't need the CD to install it. (It was causing a software conflict).
The Dell 720 Printer came with my Dell Dimension E310 PC new and the printer software was already on the hard drive. All I had to do was plug in the USB cable, and the printer was up and running like new again.
Don't forget, if you don't want Dell to monitor your printer use, DO NOT check the box to allow that when it comes up during installation, other wise you'll get that icon showing up.
Hope this helps. Chuck
