''clicking'' noise started randomly- cant use printer

Today, my printer just randomly started making a "clicking" noise and wouldn't stop. I wasn't even on the computer or using my printer. I had to push the cancel button and shut it down. Once I turned it on and tried to print something, the same thing happened. The screen just has the HP logo on it and I cannot get the printer to copy, scan, or even print anything. Can anyone help me with this? I am not computer or printer savy and cannot figure these things out. Thanks for your help

Hi starrz54,

Here is the HP site that talks about resolving unexpected noises (such as clicking)...

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=bpu06191&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&rule=26695&product=303753

You also might try doing a full reset on the device. Here is how to do that: While switching on the scanner press # and 9 to initialize.

This should give you some good directions and if it does not resolve the issue, the next step would be to have it serviced or replaced.

My 2001 sunfire starts fine.but after i drive for about half hour it will stall and wnt start again for half hour.the oil light stays on when this happens.wassup with this?

This happened with my Sunfire. It was the radiator. The engine wasn't cooling, but the sensor wasn't showing that it was overheating. So the engine would start when it was cool, but as soon as it got hot, then if I stopped it wouldn't start again.

by you driving it caused the starter over heat and short out .
You need to have the electrical sys checked out before replacing starter. OK

Canon Imageclass D661 printer is making a squeeky noise when printing. Sounds like whatever is turning is squeaking. Any suggestions?

How old or how much use does this machine get? The older/more use it gets, the more likely it is to start making random noises and squeaks. It could be a lose belt or just need some lubrication, but it's hard telling where exactly it would need the maintenance. As long as it's printing and copying fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it since it doesn't sound detrimental.

Hope this helps!
