HP 1300 printer prints 2 or more pages into 1 page.

Hi, Have you ever seen or heard of several pages printing onto one page. Is this a hardware or software problem? Please help

It's one with shadows on top. I just printed a 10 page document. It printed in one page in one shot.

Hey i have the same problem but when i print a document with one page but set the print setup to print 10 copies it prints fine, But when i print a document that is 10 pages long it prints all that 10 pages on one page and if i print a config page on the printer itself that is 2 pages long it prints fine. I gave this printer a full service 2 months ago.
Please help me to resolve this horrifying problem.

Is it actually printing 2 pages on top of each other or is it 1 page with shadows on top?

Sounds like you need a new drum kit for it. Or possibly a fuser. You will need to contact your local HP reseller. It may be worth giving the printer a good clean (use some spray duster or give it a good blow) to clear the paper path.

you can print 2 A7 pages onto 1 A6 page and then manualy cut the page in half- hey presto 2xA7 prints

3). Click 'Advanced' tab
4). click 'Separator Page'

I want duplex printing for hp 2420

The only way to duplex print on a standard 2420 is to print the first page, then take that page and re-insert it into the paper tray face up. Then print page 2 onto the back of page 1. If you want to automatically duplex print then you need a 2420DN printer which has the duplexing paper path as well as the formatter board with the duplex firmware.

All colors print on the page except for the black ink. I've replaced the cartridge several times.

Hi,

Print a self-test page
1. Make sure the printer is on and loaded with unused, plain, white paper.
2. Press the * and # keys at the same time and then press 1, 2, and 7 .
3. Press the Right-arrow key to select Reports and then press the OK .
4. Press the Left-arrow key and select the vpp self test . The test page prints.
That will help narrow down the problem. If it prints black on the test page, we know it is something to do with the software. HP 1300 Laserjet severely creases left-hand side of page, from top left to midway down the page. At the top of the page the crease starts about 2" in but gradually runs off the page midway down the page....

LaserJet 5Si printing slow use to be able to hit the print key then the printer would fire away. seems like the printer pauses between pages then prints maybe 3 to 4 pages per minute

Could be software. I have seen the last several Adobe latest version documents take several seconds to print. I have also seen increased print times with MS office 2003 Powerpoint documents.If it is a single page MS Word or Excel document and u are printing several copies of it, you should turn off the collate feature for printing of that document
