The printer is on, but it keep on showing "please wait". It cannot continue to other mode and all the button been pressed are not working. it's canon mp130

you can try this:

Turn on the printer (MP130) and do the following:
1. Press MENU SCAN COPY SCAN to enter service mode
2. Use > to go to NVRAM ACCESS
3. Set ABS-M LEVEL to 0
4. Set ABS-P LEVEL to 0
5. Press STOP to exit

Done, hope it work.

Here is what the Caon site says:

Issue: ERROR LCD: CHECK PRINTER 5B00

Solution: Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device


Reset the device when it is not functioning properly.
If the device is not functioning properly or to clear memory, reset it.

  1. On the operator panel, press and hold the button for one second. (The display will go blank.)

    Note: It may be necessary to unplug the power cord if pressing the ON/OFF button does not shut off the printer.

  2. Wait approximately ten seconds and then press the button again.

  3. Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting another job request.

How to Reset Ink Level Canon MX300 Cartridges

1. Switch off the Canon MX300 and disconnect the power cable.<br /> 2. While press and hold the power button, Connect the power cable to electric socket.<br /> 3. While pressing the power button, press the "Cancel/Stop" button (red button).<br /> 4. Now release the power button and the printer turns into a kind of factory mode. Wait for 10 seconds until it says "idle".<br /> 5. Press "&gt;" (next button) once "Shipping Mode 3&prime; then Press the "OK" button. Press "OK" again for "without cleaning".<br /> 6. A test page will print.<br /> 7. Open the cover, like you are about to change the cartridges.<br /> 8. Disconnect the power cable again without switch off the printer.<br /> 9. Take out the both cartridges.<br /> 10. Close the cover.<br /> 11. Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.<br /> 12. Now just put the cartridges back and the ink level in the canon Pixma MX300 have full again.

buttons simultaneously on the control panel; keep them pressed and reconnect the power cord to the All-in-One.
4. Continue pressing the buttons until the display goes blank or Reset shows on the control panel display.

My Canon MP210 printer is showing error 3, stuck paper, there is no paper that I can see. Please help!

Try this:
Hold the RESET button then press POWER. While POWER button is pressed, release the Reset. Press Reset twice (always with Power keep pressed)
Release Power. You are now in Service Mode Menu 2.

* Wait until Power light turns to Green
* Press Stop/Reset three times within 3 seconds between each press.
* Press Power once to Set data. Now the light should change color.
* Open the printer and remove the ink tanks. The printer should be in replace mode.
* Reinsert the ink tanks.
* Close the printer and wait 20 - 30 secs.
* Press Power to shutdown the printer.
* Turn On the printer the 2 ink levels should be reset. Error should be removed. Source(s): http://www.toner2ink.com/

I have a canon pixma 160 printer where it continually says "no ink" for both colour & black ink with either new original and or new compatible cartridges. the printer keeps showing 5...

Folow this procedure, let me know if there are any questions.

1. Turn off the printer (but make sure power cable is plugged in wall outlet).
2. Press and hold down the Stop/Reset button
3. While holding the Stop/Reset button, press and hold down Power button.
4. While holding down the Power button, release the Stop/Reset button.
5. While still holding the Power button, press the Stop/Reset button twice.
6. Now release the Power button.. (wait until it display "service mode")
7. Press the Stop/Reset button (4 times to clear waste ink; 8times to reset ink level)
8. Turn off the printer

When you turn on the printer, it will work again.

I am using the above mentioned printer and have been for a few years now. The issue that I am having is that when I print from a certain program, the print receives the data, processes the data, then goes...

Delete the printer, download the latest drivers and try again. If problem continues I would reload the program that is causing the problem.

Sounds like something got corrupted. I'm assuming that it is this one application that is failing. If all other apps work it tells me that that app is hosed.

How to reset error e4

The reset method work for canon printers that using PG-40 and CL-41 cartridge. After doing this reset method canon printer will not display low ink notification anymore and will not show error code “E4′ or “E5′.
Here How to Disabling Low Ink Level Notification for Canon IP and MP, the method to reset ink level notification:
  1. Push “resume” for 5 seconds for canon IPXXXX. For canon MPXXX you must enter to service mode.
  2. Push Power switch then remove power cord.
  3. Insert plug power cord while pressing “power switch” at the same time.

  6. Push color button 2 times
  7. Push Power switch again , Printer will print 1 page

Enter to service mode for canon MPXXX

  • When the Power is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.

Ink System Failure 0xc18a0501

1. Try to remove and reinstall the Ink Catridges. Be sure it is lock in place on the ink cartridge holder.
2. Turn off the Printer and unplug and replug the power adapter.
3. Uninstall and reinstall the printer driver.
