Versamail Errors Hi. I just bought a wi-fi card for my palm Tungsten T5 and tried to set up Versamail to connect to my optonline.net account. I can receive e-mail without a problem, but cannot send any. I've received the following messages: 530 5.7.0 no Auth command and 553 5.0.0 unbalanced < as well as messages about timing out and errors with the SMTP server. Please help, I need to use the palm to send attachments on an international trip and have to resolve this problem. Thanks!

Hi first of all here are Support Knowledge Library links: http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,case=obj(39328) there are two main reasons your mail will not get sent from VersaMail: 1) The outbound email server is not allowing your mail through. The server thinks your email is SPAM. Go to the section on Outgoing Mail server issues: http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=95,E=0000000000299122694,K=3846,Sxi=5,useTemplate=Case.tem,CASE=39211#outgoing 2) You have entered some of the information incorrectly in your setup and need to check for typos and verify the settings with your ISP or carrier. follow all the instructions home page: http://www.palm.com/us/support/lifedrive/ good luck

Wi=Fi connection

Hello
First question is do you have a wireless router connected to your internet, and if yes, you may need to tell your router to broadcast your ssid. Instructions differ on how to do this so check the manual for the router. Hope this helps.

Palm Tungsten t5 WiFi

I suspect that you're in fact holding a Palm TX and not a T5 as the T5 does not have WiFi. If you're using the Palm SD WiFi adaptor, do a hard reset without the card.

(hold down the ON/OFF button whilst using the reset pin to press the reset button. You'll be asked if you are sure you wish to reset. You'll then be prompted to choose the language caliberate the screen etc..)

After that. Go and download all the updates and drivers from Palm Web site.

Setup Versamail with Outlook 2000

I use Versamail with my web-based, non-work email account (which is what it sounds like you have - web-based at least). I don't sync Versamail, I just use it to dial in to my account and download/send emails.

T5 Outlook Calendar Synchronization failed - Any one have a fix?

I went to the MY COMPUTER folder, clicked open PROGRAM FILES, open PALMONE folder, open the username folder and deleted the back-up files. However, before I did this I deleted all of the problems dates in the PC calendar and set the hotsync to PC overrides handheld. While this works, unfortunately I have found that I need to do it every once in a while which is very disappointing. It seems that Windows does not operate seamlessly with the Palm T5. I find that the hotsync crashes 50% of the time forcing me to reset my Palm T5. No information is lost, but it is really a pain in the *** to have to do so often. Versamail hotsync sometimes freezes on the handheld, but that is another issue which I have managed to fix much in the same way as describe above.

Is possible to sync only a specific folder of Outlook?

Yes - you can specify which folders. By default the VersaMail conduit synchronizes the Inbox folder from your Outlook/Exchange account. If you do just as you mentioned creating a MyPalm folder, you will be able to have only that folder synchronize. Open up the Custom menu item from the HotSync icon. From there select the VersaMail conduit and double click it. Select the account from the dialog that appears - if you have multiple VersaMail accounts, the one to choose is your Outlook profile name. Then click on the Advanced button. Choose the rightmost tab which is called Folders. Here you can individually select the folders which do and which do not synch. Turn the Inbox folder to No and turn the MyPalm folder the Yes. That is it.
