Jensen Compact Disc Music system JMC-500W. Open/Close button not opening the lid

Hi, Please hold down the open/close button instead of just pressing it. Then you can press the lid while this is happening. I think you might already suspect this, but it sounds like the hook that connects to a portion of the lid isn't unhooken during the button press. Friction might be a cause or the hook-movement might not be functioning as smoothly due to other factors. If the issue continues, we might have to consult Jensen on a potential repair/replacement of the item as well.

Turntable on my Jensen JTA-460 is slow. I have replaced the belt and made sure table was lubricated. No change. Can not find a way to adjust speed of table.

Check the belt is fitted correctly. If it is not it will affect the speed. If the speed is slow on both 45 and 33 rpm, then it could be the motor. Sometimes there are speed presetts at the none shaft end of the motor. If it doesn't look like the motor has any built in electronics in it, then look to the turntable power supply look for faults in that.

I have a Jensen QX80 Subwoofer which has stopped working properly. When I power it up, it turns on and makes a buzzing noise, I could smell a burnt electrical smell when it first occurred. Any advice?

Bill, Sorry that I have to be so general in answering this question. If there is a burnt smell associated with the occurrence of the problem, then that would point to a fault most likely in the audio output circuit. If the unit blows a fuse, then I tend to think that it is in the power supply of the internal amplifier. Either way, service is needed for the unit. It is best to disconnect the unit from your sound system and try to find someone qualified for this repair.

Can I input a Satelite radio receiver into my Jensen JSM 96; ..................If so how?

Does your Jensen have the AUX inputs on the back or front? You would need to find a Satelite radio with the Outputs that will plug into the AUX Inputs. Some radios have a special input connections for Satelite radios, so check the Manual.
