Xerox workcentre 3345 paper jam in tray1
If you've modified one of the trays and still encounter the same error, it's worth checking if there are any obstructions in the paper path or if the default paper type and color settings need adjustment.
Remove Jammed Paper From Tray 1:
First, remove any paper from the Bypass Tray.
Grasp both sides of the Bypass Tray and pull it straight out of the printer.
Next, pull out Tray 1 until it stops. To remove the tray, lift the front of it slightly, then pull it out of the printer.
Check for any jammed paper and remove it.
Also, make sure there's no crumpled paper left in the tray or jammed inside the printer.
If you have Tray 2 (optional), check it as well.
Insert Tray 1 back into the printer and push it all the way in.
Fully insert the Bypass Tray as well.
Confirm the paper settings if prompted.
Try your job again.
Power the Printer Off then On:
Press the Power/Wake button on the printer control panel.
Choose "Power Off" to turn off the printer.
Wait for a few seconds, then press the Power/Wake button again to turn it back on.
Retry your print job.
Replace the Paper Feed Roller (if needed):
If the issue persists, consider replacing the paper feed roller. Refer to your printer's documentation for instructions on how to do this.
If the problem continues, contact Xerox support.

- Restart the device: Power off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then power it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary errors.
- Check toner levels: Ensure that the black toner cartridge has sufficient toner. If it is low or empty, replace it with a new cartridge.
- Clean the imaging unit: Open the printer's front cover and carefully remove the imaging unit. Gently wipe the surface of the black imaging unit drum with a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid touching the drum with your hands. Reinstall the imaging unit securely.
- Perform a firmware update: Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer model on the manufacturer's website. If an update is available, follow the instructions provided to update the firmware. Firmware updates can sometimes fix known issues and improve overall performance.
- Check for paper jams: Open all access doors and paper trays and inspect for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any stuck paper carefully. Ensure that the paper path is clear and that the paper is loaded correctly in the trays.
- Reset the printer to default settings: Access the printer's settings menu and look for a "Restore Defaults" or "Reset" option. Performing a factory reset can help eliminate any incorrect settings that may be causing the issue.
