first thing first check ur fuse for the power window. look at ur car manual to locate the switch box. if the fuse is good check the window motor by removing the door panal then locating it inside the door. use a power tester to see if power is getting to the motor by connecting it to the positive (red) wire connected to the window motor. if its not getting power the change the motor. if it is then you may have a window switch problem. if you have change the motor, switch, and fuse the you make have a wire shortage proble so take it to a payed professional for further advice or service. good luck
on 1987 all you mentioned are on same fuse #11 located in fuse box below steering wheel 3rd row 3rd fuse from left next to either a blank space if you do not have power windows,or next to silver circuit breaker if you do have power windows.
Good Day,
I just looked at my wiring diagram and see that a fuse from fuse Holder D, Fuse D3,it is a 30amp fuse. I would start here. I may also be a good idea to have a test light if you plan on doing your electrical repairs.
I also see that another fuse connects to your top control unit; it will be fuse B6, 15amp located in fuse Holder B.
The only problem with this vehicle is that it needs a new window switch on the passenger side door.If the main switch on the drivers door works and the one on the door that the window won't go up on won't work it replace the switch on that door they all work on the same fuse.
MY POWER WINDOWS WOULD WORK AND THEN NOT WORK, IT SEEMED TO BE WHEN I WOULD SHUT THE DOOOR THEN THEY WOULD WORK, THEN CLOSE THE DOOR AGAIN AND THEN THEY WOULD QUIT AGAIN. THEY ALL STOPPED WORKING AT THE SAME TIME, IT SEEMS TO HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. NOW THEY WON'T WORK AT ALL.
