I have a 2002 chevy silverado, 4.8l. i was driving it yesterday, and i came to a stop light, i stopped then the light turned green and i tried to start going, i pushed on the gas and it felt like it wasent getting any gas, it was spuddering out. it made it to a burgerking gas station, then it died on me. i can start it up, but when i do it does the same thing it starts spuddering and then it dies. it will do that if i dont push on the gas but when i do push on the gas it statrts spuddering and then eventually will die on me. im thinking its the fuel pump.... but i have no idea really. can someone please help me!

First of all, If you recently bought gas from a place you've never been to before, drain out the old gas, and put in a fresh tank from somewhere you trust. You may have water in the tank. After that, if that doesn't solve the problem, or you trust the place you bought from, go ahead and check all your external gas filters. If that doesn't solve it, I think that's when you're right: It's either the fuel pump, or the fuel filter, and in modern vehicles, both are in the gas tank, and both are very difficult to get at.

How do i clear the change engine oil soon message. It's a 2007 silverado.

The "Change Oil" message displayed on your Chevrolet Silverado's gauge cluster is part of the Oil Life Monitoring System, standard on many GM (General Motors) vehicles. The message appears when it's time for an oil-change; the interval is based on your driving habits (for example, it may appear more frequently if you engage in a lot of stop-and-go traffic). Once you change your Chevy's oil, the message will not disappear; the system must be reset. The process is a bit different between Chevy Silverado models.

  1. Step 1 Insert your key and turn the ignition to position "C" (Run/On) without starting the engine.
  2. Step 2 Press the second button from the top on your information center (next to the steering column, car symbol) until "Oil Life" displays on your odometer cluster.
  3. Step 3 Press and hold the "Reset" button on your information center (check mark symbol) until the "Oil Life" display changes to 100 percent.
  4. Step 4 Turn your ignition to position "A" (Lock/Off).
