in my country you can always read it from technical ID it comes with car..... if you don't have that, usually you can find it in any autopart sale webpage, after you will fill informations about your car, or according to VIN. If not, then use google search, fill kia sportage 1996 and choose pictures..... there are some pictures of number locations on engine block, so try to search ...

easiest and least damaging...total agreement. Of course you will have to provide proof of ownership.

but that sure looks tight there, even your arm size might

prevent working on it. even with access panels in the fender.

no K6a here, state side. so hard to find data.

F6 is belt, K6: chain, cam, the belt is harder and need to be replaced with the pump. ( same life span, bla bla)

note radial difference in how the pump mounts.

the early gen used the F6a, in 97 they went to K10A and some have a 1.2L.
before diagnosing any car engine, one must know which one he has.

engine number is different coming 7 dig.engine code 3 or 4 characters and fuse for diagnouse when use VAS it meen different parts use together and coordinated by ECU . tow engine same but diffrent code meens some part use are different . engine number is definition for this engine with chassis number you can find it one label on timing belt cover , and in between cylinder bolck and cylinder head there is square stamped number at exhaust side

you'd have to remove the engine its on the back.
