These are the same bolt patterns, bolt pattern is 4 X 4.5 or also known as 4 X 114MM. Measure 2 lugholes across from each other and it should measure 4 1/2" US or 114MM. the center hubs may be smaller/larger. Check the center hub size before purchasing:

One cylinder could be missing, therefore the converter is receiving fuel from the exhaust. Check all plugs and wires

Check your inertia switch in the rear cargo area (wagon) passenger side rear wheel well. Press the button. You should hear and feel it click in.

there is a black box in the engine compartment. check the fuses and relay.

Hello Linton...the used tires should work if they are 14 inch....Check for proper clearance... They will be a little taller than the ones that came on your escort.
Your speedometer will not be accurate with the taller tires, it will be a few MPH's off...just a reminder so you wont get a ticket.

If this is a manual transmission the clutch has burned out, it may need to be replaced, if you do not do your own mechanic work I would suggest that you take it to a good local repair shop and have them check it out. If this is an automatic I would still suggest the same, but the actual problem could be more complex. Hope this helps, let me know.

no but if you go in the trunk on driver side behind the
carpet its a black box there is a reset button on it
push the reset it restart the system that should help

Pull your lever back if the high beams work that way you need a new high/low beam switch, if they do not you need to replace headlight bulbs.
