SOURCE: 1989 GMC 2500 5.7L - engine surges and stalls at idle. Loses power at cruising speed.

Wow you have replaced a lot of stuff. Lets go back to the Fuel pump. When you replaced it did you replace the hose between the pump and the sending unit. These are common for splitting. Have you hooked up a fuel pressure gauge to check what pressure you have? It should be real close to 13 psi and should raise to at least 18 or 19 when you pinch off the return line.

Try using a good fuel line/injector cleaner Seafoam is a good one. If this does not help you may have tone or more clogged injectors. Clean these out and you should be good to go. tTo see Seafoam in action goto you tube type Seafoam into the search box.

SOURCE: 95 impala lt1 will stall when warm and not start

On the plus side, when you are finished, you will have a new control system! On the negative side, you just spent more money on parts than if you'd have just taken it to a dealer! I hope you tested those components and determined they have failed. Any codes?
Seems like the only thing you missed is the coil and the temp sending unit (just for laughs, unplug it and see if it stalls out at the same time), or possibly a security system malfunction. Get a decent volt/ohmeter and a vehicle specific manual such as chiltons or haynes. Do some testing, hot and cold and compare your results. You need to determine what is shutting down (fuel, spark or both) Once you develop a "picture" regarding what is happening, you will be more able to find a solution. I can't give you a "fix" on this one only because to properly identify the problem, I'd need to do the same testing I suggested.
good luck

Sounds as if a door latch sensor (pin) is faulty.
The chime is likely indicating the door is open.

SOURCE: 1995 sarari van stalls. replaced fuel pump

when you shut the truck off is/was there a swishing/bubbling noise coming from the tank?

Theres an orange rubber in the fuel tank that connects the fuel pump to the sender lines. if that rubber is torn you may get it to run but not stay running for more than a short period of time.

As when an ignition module cuts off, then after cooling off, works again.
As when a faulty alarm relay cuts the engine out intermittently.
Many new parts in there now, is the distributor pickup coil new too?
Many more parts can be replaced at random without diagnosing. To save time and energy, diagnose. When it is having a tantrum it is time to check, motor needs fuel, spark, and compression to run and by what is happening, one needs to find which is absent, which keeps the motor from running.
Does it have spark, injector signal? A 12V led test light or a noid light is used to detect the quick electric signal.
My opinion is it's electric issue, ignition component failing (pickup coil, control module), alarm, and/or possibly the ignition switch.

Why does a 1995 foed mustang gt just stall and wont restart.

Very late but for anyone else with this problem. I used to have this occur when I drove around for a bit. I'd drive and after 5-20 mins the car would just stall on me. It wouldn't start immediately and sometimes just waiting an hour or 2 and trying again made it start and drivable for a few minutes again. The problem was the ignition coil. I spent over $1400 changing parts to find out it was an $18 fix and took 10 mins to swap out. If the rpms do jump around a lot then yes the stator would be the problem. If it just stalls even while driving, it's the ignition coil. If neither, test the voltage regulator. Hope this help. Happy driving!!

ISSUE: After a 1-4 hour engine soak time, long crank times and/or long crank to start followed by a stall may occur on some vehicles. No further stalling or rough idle will occur after the engine is running. The long crank and/or stall may be due to the Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve sticking.
ACTION: Replace the IAC Valve with a revised IAC Valve if no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
  1. Perform normal diagnostics and correct any DTCs as required by referring to the appropriate year Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Service Manual.
  2. If no codes are present, replace the IAC Valve by referring to the appropriate model/year Service Manual, Section 03-14. Refer to the following Idle Air Control Valve Application Chart for proper IAC usage.

1995 Ram 1500. Just died? No votage to coil, no spark?

The power supplied to the fuel pump, ignition coil, fuel injectors and parts of the power module is controlled by the logic module through the Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD):
The ASD relay is closed (allowing power to flow through it) when the ignition is first turned on. If the signal from the ignition reference is lost while the engine is running, the logic module cuts power to the ASD, which in turn removes power from the fuel pump, ignition coil, injectors and those parts of the power module.  This causes the engine to shut down.

Failure of the automatic shutdown relay is often shown as inexplicable stalling or refusal to start. The ASD can be triggered by a broken wire or short in another place, e.g. the fuel pump.  Hope this helps, and did you try to retrieve any DTC codes?? Be glad to help friend.

1988 GMC w/ fuel injectio

My 1988 GMC jimmy with V-8 and automatic transmission w/ over drive would buck and **** at low speeds. The problem was identified by a FixYa guy as a transmission problem and suggested I try adding a Lucas product transmission additive at about $4. I did that and I am amazed that the old truck runs smooth, even idles better and does not stall when I go to reverse.
