I have a Dell Dimension 5150 PC and a 32 inch Philips Pixel Plus 2 TV, big, heavy, silver and on a silver stand (in other words, not a slim LCD or equivalent). I recently bought a cable with red, white and yellow jacks at each end and connected my PC to my TV using the appropriate sockets at the back of each. Oddly, my PC hasn't recognised the addition of these connections? I can't find the user manual for the TV, even on the net! I am at a loss as how to best proceed from here, unless I get someone in. But that could pose another problem, do I look for a TV or a PC expert? Regards, Peter.

If you feel this is not right for the tv then you need to send it back for repair or replacement. If you feel that it gets as loud as it is supposed to and you would like more volume then you will have to amplify it through a stereo system.
For this one you need VGA enable TV if your TV have VGA port then, bring the one VGA cable from market and plug the Tv to Pc, enble to VGA mode in you TV. you get the screen you TV now enjoy to watch the TV, & do the work in big screen.
Cardinal Rule 1
NEVER PLAY GAMES ON YOU MACHINE....
Cardinal Rule 2
If you insist to play games....go to a galeria and use the games video machine there.....
a few $ spent there will save your laptop....
Laptops are not ment for playing heavy games that require strong graphic card and heavy RAMs...
This is an older machine that has a 4x AGP port for graphics cards. The good news is that cards for this slot are cheap...usually in the 30-50 dollar range. The downside is that you wont get the greatest performance out of them. I would recommend going with a Geforce FX 5200.
You can install another DVD player software.
there are plenty of free players on the internet that you can download, or you can buy one at your local software dealer. Once you install this, the newer video codecs should be installed
