You may want to reset your printer, unplug the power for at least 30 minutes, then power it back up, there are other ways to get the printer to reset depending on the brand but it is best of you check and clear the printer from paper bits inside.

Check to make absolutely sure that there isn't any paper jamming it. A very small piece or sliver can still cause the jam, then try resetting the machine.

My printer gives an error message "paper jam" when there isn't any jam

Paper is nearly always sensed with little, black levers that are pushed out of the way as the paper passes over it. Inkjet printers normally have just one sensor, while laser printers often have three to localize a jam in the paper path. Take out the paper and drum/toner assemblies and look carefully for the levers. See if they wiggle freely. Since they must be delicate enough to be pushed aside by a sheet of paper, it doesn't take much dust to stick one down, giving a false jam reading. A little wiggling and blowing might fix it.

The Lexmark x342n all in one printer gives the error code 200.20 i took out the paper jam and tried to print again but it still gives the same fault i also can the drum and tried again but it only...

General tip: If the paper tears when you pull a jam out of the printer, spread the paper out and make sure you have all of the pieces. A small shred left inside can cause another jam.

"I also can the drum" - does this mean you discarded the printer cartridge? I've never seen a cartridge cause a jam. Usually an accordion-fold jam in this area is the result of the fuser rollers not turning or a torn fuser sleeve. A jam without an accordion fold indicates that the paper did not make it into the toner deposition area soon enough - this could be a problem with the pickup roller or the next set of rollers. Worn or dirty rollers can work intermittently before they quit completely.

Also, check the paper detection flag to make sure it isn't hanging up (this is a black plastic tab that sticks into the paper path just before the paper goes under the cartridge, and is pushed up or down by the paper). Look for the U-shaped optical detector that is interrupted by this flag, and make sure it isn't blocked by foreign material.

Error code 3528 keeps coming up,telling me to remove back cover and remove paper jam then replace back cover.there is no paper jam, checked printer heads no paper anywhere? and paper is not low????

Check the complete paper path very carefully, it only takes a small fragment of paper stuck somewhere to signal a paper jam. Also check that the paper sensors have returned to their normal positions. See that the printer has not picked up a second sheet of paper and this is somewhere in the path.

My printer keeps giving me a paper jam signal but can't find any paper jam and can't reset the printer. Any help?

There are at least 3 places where paper can be jammed in this model. Are you sure you have cleared the jam completely? Here are the instructions for your model:

Samsung CLP-300 picking up too many pages

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Paper jam is a very common problem with the printers.

First of all clean off the rubber piece that pulls the paper into the printer from the tray with rubbing alcohol, and also take a knife to the rubber piece to rough it up to create more traction.

To clear the paper jam problem you need to remove the back roller mechanism to get at paper. If still the problem persists, then check the following to resolve the issue--

1. Please check all interlocks, electrical and signal connections are seated properly.
2. Front cover, back cover and lid are closed properly.
3. Power plug and USB cable are connected.
4. Printer is turned on with switch on the back.
5. Toner signal lights sequenced, with yellow overall led on.
6. There is some noise of paper roller movement.
7. Toner signal lights all out, overall status light turned to red
8. No visible paper in paper tray or anywhere else.
9. No paper in tray---added paper
10. Waste toner container is full or not installed ---empty, installed properly.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

My canon mx310 keeps showing a paper jam alarm and there is no paper jam. how do I fix it?

give this a try

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Canon MX300 Paper Jam

I have the same problem - every time I turn on my printer now, the alarm signal shows up with "Paper jam" but when I check for jammed paper, there is none. So I think there's something faulty with the printer. Is there any way to reset it? I've looked everywhere but can't find it.

Open Door. Clear carriage jam, and then press Enter

Sounds like you have a jam. Open the back of the printer and checl for any paper large or small. If there is no paper, just opening the door and closing it may get rid of the message. All it takes is a piece of paper the diameter of a pea to send a signal that there is a paper jam. After yuou have finished close the door and push enter to let the printer know you are finished. See if this helps. I don't think it has anything to do with the ink cartridges. It sounds more like something stuck causing the jam. Be sure not to have anything like a staple attached to the paper you are printing on to. A speck of dirt could casue a jam message too.
