The dryer is spinning, but there is no heat produced.

It could be the belt that spins the dryer is slipping, probably needs to be replaced.

Heating element sounds like its gone out

Did you see if your dryer element went out then you get no heat at any time that you run it.

Igniter - The dryer's igniter is what ignites the gas that has entered through the gas valve. It will glow red, then when it reaches a certain temperature, it will trigger a thermostat that opens up the gas valve and that's when the dryer starts to heat the air. If the igniter has failed, the motor will still run but not produce any heat.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

unplug remove the back, the heater box is to your right,the heater box fuse is on the left side top check it with your meter,the heater box element is on the bottom remove the 2 wires and check with meter,iam sure it is one of the-mike

Need to change the heater filament. The heater filament has several portions to produce heat. As it ages, some portions are not producing heat anymore hence the total heat produced by an old filament can not put out as much as originally designed.

check the thermal fuse located at the back of the dryer for continuity and let me know how you make out
