Bosch WFMC 3200 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
Electrical/rubber odor when load is complete
Not many machines are belt driven these days, but the symptoms are those of a slipping belt, or friction against a failed rubber mount.
To find out more you will need to remove the case (or enough of it to see what happens while it is working.
Be on the lookout for some rubbery thing (either a part, or something from a previous load) jammed somewhere where the rotating drum scrapes it.
A burning rubber smell is different to a burning motor windings or transformer smell but maybe only to afficionados. Could be a winding failure on the motor too.
Unplug, un-case and plunge your schnozz into the works seeking the odiferous source. Sounds like I am kidding, but I am not - really try it. You may need to dry run it for a while to elicit the smell before unplugging etc.
Please post how you go, and what it eventually turns out to be.
Washer wont spin, wash or pump enough water in the machine
This is several issues rolled into one. The clank noise is concerning and the smell could be the heating element for high wash temps. The other thing is the control module could be causing a lot of this. The water valves could be causing the fill issue and the clank could be the pulley on the drum. The bad thing is there are not a lot of parts for that machine as it was 13 years old. The control board is almost 300 dollars. Taking the time to trouble shoot it requires tools and patience . The service manual link is attached.

Bosch Washing MAchine - E2 error message
Hi.
E2 means uneven balance.
The error code gets reset using the following procedure:
Ensure that the machine door is closed. Turn the dial in the OFF position.
Hold down Start/Pause button and turn the dial anti clockwise at the same time until its position is pointing at the Express (15mins) program.
Hold down Start/Pause button until the e2 message starts flashing (or keep holding for about one minute)
Release the button.
Turn the dial again to the OFF position.
The machine is reset. Select any program.
If the message comes back after selecting program, then there is still a balancing problem. Remove and redistribute load, check floor and ensure machine is at level.
Starts to wash and it
Hi,
he e2 error is a generic error that the machine shows if it's been
overloaded or if the load becomes unbalanced during a wash cycle.
To fix you must do a master reset of the washing machine.
1. Close the door and make sure the dial is pointing to the "OFF" function
2. Hold the Start/Pause button and turn the dial anti clockwise (to the left) to the "express 15 min" program at the same time.
3.
Hold the Start/Pause button for a minute (the e2 message is meant to
start flashing after a minute of holding the button down however with my
washing machine this didn't happen) (and neither with mine)
4. Release the button and turn the dial back to the "Off" function.
5. Select any program and the message should not be appearing
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Hot water supply to washer works, but not cold water
Probably the small filter screen in the cold water supply line is plugged up with sediment. The screen will either be directly on where the hose connects to the supply line, or may be on the rear of the washing machine where the cold water supply line connects to the washer, usually a simple screw-on just like a garden hose.
