It runs, but no heat
i dont believe at this time its anything mentioned at top most people dont realize that dryers are split cuircuts
is this a 220 setup
and if its a 220
the cuircuit breaker for this is set by 110 each one for the heating element one 110 for the guages and motor
goto circuit breaker and flip the breakers this should return your dryer working ability
other thing is are the guages working properly
dryer doesnt have to run to test guages turn to the highest setting and let them run completly threw cycle if they stop on a particular setting for a long length of period then the guages are bad

Whirlpool thin twin problem
First be sure you're getting power to the motor this could cause both problems. If getting power then
sounds like you have 2 problems.
Dryer
On the heating problem be sure you have 220 volts at the power block, check the heating element , thermostats & high temp cutoff with an ohmmeter. Also check the centrifical switch on the motor it keeps the heat off for safety till the motor is up to speed so the fan is working.
Washer
Check lid switch some machines won't do anything but fill with the lid open . To check lid switch push the the switch down with a small screwdriver. If switch is ok check the coupler between the motor & transmission it can cause no agitate or spin. If all these are ok you may have a transmission problem. Last resort may be timer or wireing.

Thin Twin NIGHTMARE!!!
The tub has simply came off the struts. Best fixed by two people-- one to help hold the tub in position, and one to twist the strut(s) back on-- through the bottom of the unit.

No cold water on cold/cold or warm/cold setting
Try shutting off the hot water valve on the plumbing and start the washer with a warm water setting. If you get no cold water, check to see of the cold water hose is plugged with debris, if not the cold water valve may have a broken or disconnected wire. or the valve may have failed. Hopefully it is just a plugged hose.

Washer won't do anything. It won't fill or spin. Nothing!!
If nothing is working at all it is probably the timer switch (dial you turn) they die. Not too expensive to fix. If you are comfortable with tools you can very likely do it your self. I know this because I paid a service to do it. When he was done, I went - Huh, that's all there is to it? It is just above Lego. If I remember correctly it took him less than 15 minutes to do it but I of course had to pay the minimum service call charge.
So just find a YouTube video for changing timers and you'll see what I mean.
Of course if it is not the timer you just wasted time and money.
I don't know how to confirm if it is the timer that is broken. Perhaps there is a diagnostic video....
Good luck

Whirlpool Thin Twin
I'm not familiar with your model but on the surface it sounds like the belt is loose. If the load is not really well-balanced, a loose belt can't move the drum and when the load is balanced the motor turns really fast because the belt is slipping. Tightening or replacing the belt is fairly simple with normal tools and there are plenty of pages/videos out there on how to do it. Hope this helps! Good luck!
