My Sony Bravia TV frezzes every like 10 seconds on the main menu or when I am streaming from the computer. But when watching through sattellite or DVD it works fine.

i think your TV is on demonstration mode.

To turn off the demo mode, press and hold the HOME or MENU button on the TV for more than 10 seconds. The messageDemo mode: Off will appear on the screen.
NOTES:

• If holding the HOME button for 10 seconds does not work, you can also try pressing and holding the CH/INPUTbutton for 10 seconds.
• Resetting the TV to the original factory settings will also turn off this feature.

To watch Netflix you need a (Netflix subscription of course) and a Smart TV with the Netflix app running or if you have an older TV you will need a streaming device like Amazon Fire TV http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GDQ0RMG?ref_=ods_gw_d_h1_tv_montoya_dualUR

Sound comes from the main board, I would say it has issues and needs replacing

You need the Inverter Board.

Test the power supply voltages after it shuts itself off, mainly the PSON voltage as that will determine if its a main board issue or power board

for Bravia's.. To turn off the demo mode, press and hold the MENU button on the TV for more than 10 seconds. The message Demo mode: Off will appear on the screen.

Since it is brand new then should be OK.
Please return it to store and get another TV.
