When I first used my Animal DC07 it nearly glued itself to the carpet, the suction was so strong. Now there is hardley any suction and I have to keep going back and forth over the same bit of carpet to clean it.
I regularly wash the filter and holder, have replaced the cyclone head and checked everywhere for blockages. Could it be the motor?

You've probably got a lesser blockage further down the pipework, which is reducing the airflow. Check everywhere possible for blockages, and also make sure the washable filter is clean and dry.
From your description of the problem, it sounds as though the wand/hose is blocked. To test this, please remove the wand from the machine and switch on, testing the suction from the top of the wand handle. If the suction is poor, remove the wand from the hose and test the suction from the top of the hose. If its strong from the hose itself, the wand is blocked and you will need to clear this.
If there is poor suction from the hose, you can remove this by unclipping it from the base of the machine and can then remove any blockages. It is also worth checking the hose for any splits or holes.

The belt is probably worn or stretched. When this happens the belt won't turn
the roller brush when it is against the carpet. Here is a link for the
