Tun off the water to your washer and remove the hoses where they connect to your washer. Look inside of those connections and the water screens are inside the plastic fittings. Gently remove them and clean them on BOTH sides under running water. An old tooth brush works fine as does a few good snaps or thumps with the fingers. Hold them up to the light and make you can see light thru them. Once you finish... reinstall the screens then hook up the hoses and turn the water back on. Check your fill pressure on hot cold and warm..... You should see a noteable difference.

The filter is actually a screen that is located inside of the water valve on the back of the washing machine. Pull the machine out and where the water lines are hooked up there is a blue water valve (most are blue some are a grayish color) Remove your waterlines and look inside of this valve and you should see the screen or a lot of debris. Take a pair of needlenosed pliers and remove the screens clean them and reinstall. If no screens are visable then you may need to change out the water valve which is simple (you will see what I mean when you remove the water lines) If you need a new valve one can be purchased at an appliance parts house for around 20 usd depnding on the type of valve it is.

Good luck on your repairs hope this helped you

The cold water just trickles into the machine, the hot water fills fine. I removed the hose from the wall and cleaned that filter. Is there another filter I can clean out?

Hello klj... Unscrew the cold hose from both ends and run a wire through the entire length to remove any blockage anywhere. Also check the connection locations looking for calcification of some kind. If it's clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you need to replace the valve. Joe

Rinse water barely trickles out of my washer

Do you fill the machine with hot water only?

If so, this is what I suspect. The filters in the inlet hoses on the back of the washer need cleaning. Remove the garden hose connectors, remove filter, clean, replace.

When filling with hot only you get a lot of pressure thru one hose. When you rinse, the best you can do pressure-wise is cold rinse -- but the cold water filter is going to be more clogged than the hot so it delivers less water.

When you use warm rinse, you get mediium pressure thru both lines, again less water than al hot on filling the machine.

Kenmore 90 Series fills so slow on rinse cycle

For low water volume - or "Trickling" effect...

1. Turn off the water supply to both hoses.
2. Remove hoses (one at a time so you don't get them confused)
3. On the washer side - look for a removeable screen inside where you just removed the hose.
4. Using a small screwdriver - pop out the screen and reverse-flush it/clean it. It will likely be full of sediment and calcium deposits from your pipes.
5. Replace the inlet screens.
6. Re-fit the hose to the machine.
7. Turn on water supply valves.
8. re-try.

Cold water filling

There are filter screens where the supply hoses connect to the washer. On some brands there is a screen where the hose connects to the water valve at the wall. The screen is probably full of sediment.
