Sounds like a damper sticking open or water may have frozen open the door. Both I would call a repairman for. I hope this helps.

They most likely problem is going the damper asm. that opens/closes to let air flow into the refrig.when is calls for cooling then closes when its cold enough. That damper is stuck open andletting in too much cold air. To repair that the damper assambly should be replaced ,the part # for it is 61005991 It fits in the upper left corner of the fresh food section,trying to close it some by hand now will restrict some air flow and perhaps everything wont freeze,until the damper can be replaced. This refrigerator only has one thermostat located in the fresh food compartment it is designed to activate the sealed system (cooling) until it reaches approximately 37 deg f in the fresh food compartment. The damper controls how fast the cold air can move from the freezer compartment to the fresh food compartment. Allowing you to control the temp in the freezer by controlling the flow of cold air to the thermostat.

You have one of two problems.
#1 your thermostat is no longer opening when it achieves set temp. fix = replace thermostat pn 61005798 $35
#2 your damper arm or assemblie has broken. Fix = Replace damper or broken arm and actuator.

the damper control is not working let me tell you what to do the air that comes from the freezer block if you can get to the damper you will see it have a get rool a piece of paper between the body of damper and the get flap and have it open if the refrigerator side start cooling is the damper control i am sure about that is the damper control

sounds like the air damper control for refrig is freezing in the open positon. not a really consumer freindly repair,(dropping side control panel checking damper door for ice build up, removing ice and applying a silicone lubricant(vasiline) to prevent further freezing of air damper motor. sounds easy enoug but that panel is real tricky to drop and mount back in.
