Maytag Refrigerators - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

Depending on the age of your unit, having to skin the unit to get the coil out, remove the bad coil, weld the new coil in, pressure check it, pull a vacuum for 4 hours, then charge it could cost upwards of $2500. More depending on the fridge. When your replacing coils, it's time to go buy a new fridge. It's not cost effective and the waranty would only cover the coil

If it sat a year in the garage are you in a climate that freezes in the winter time? There is water left in the lines and the filter after you disconnect the fridge unless you blow it all out, so it could have freezed and expanded and cracked a piece. If freezing is not a possibility then i would get a new filter if you havent already, the o-rings on the filter could have dried out from being in a hot garage in the summer and caused a leak. Its a pretty simple system though, the water line comes in from the back to the filter housing and then from there it goes to the water in the door and the ice maker. Another possibility is a line could have got snagged and pulled on when moving it, so check all the connections under the fridge for the water lines. Put some paper towels down under the fridge and have someone dispense water from the door and watch it with a flashlight and see if you can find the water leak, the paper towels will help by showing where they get wet and give you an area to investigate further.

Sounds as if the tray is running over. Are the cubes oversized? If you remove the cover (front, usually) from the icemaker you'll probably find a fill adjustment -- a screw with + and - markings. Rotate the screw 1/2 turn in the - direction and see if you notice a reduction in cube size. If it's running over, you may need to make more than one 1/2 turn adjustment.

you have the wrong board, when ordering the new board you need the model and serial need to put in your model number and then add the first two digits off of serial number to get the correct board so it will take your code, say the first two digits are 12 then you need to see what board is for MFI2568AES12 YOU PROBABLY HAVE BOARD PART WP12920710 BUT FOR YOUR MODEL AND SERIAL YOU NEED PART WPW10310240 and then you'll be able to enter your code
