You'll need to reboot your computer. You'll also need to turn off your printer (on/off switch or unplug the power cable).
Then plug everything back in and bring your computer back up. Most of the time this will solve the problem.
If the printer won't print just one Word document, then the document got corrupted just a tiny bit. Rebooting the computer won't solve that problem. However, if you can get Word to say that it 'has a problem and needs to close' (while the bad document is open), then it will recover and repair the document. Reopen Word, and you will see a list of recovered documents. Click on your problem document and open it. The recovered document should be able to print. Save that recovered document as a copy of the original one and print it.
I've had both problems, and these solutions worked for me.
If you are putting a document into the printer and want to make a copy of it, press the key that says "copy" on the printers keyboard. Then choose the number of copies you want to make and press the "ok" or "enter" key on the keyboard of the printer.
If the document you wish to make a copy of is located in your computer and you dont have a copy of it to place in your printer - then you need to print the document. Not copy the document. Copy means make another one. You can't copy something that you dont have in your hands. Understand? To print a document that you dont have in your hands, find it on your computer. When you find the document you want to print on the computer, click on "file" in the upper left side corner of your computer screen and slide down to "print" and click on it. Then click on "ok" on the next screen to start printing your document.
If there is no "file" command in the upper left corner of your computer screen when you have the document that you want to print open on the computer - try right clicking with the button on the right side of your mouse in the center of the document and find the "print" command on the drop down list and click on it. Then click on "ok" on the next screen and this will start the printing of your document.
Place any document on the scanner glass of the printer and press copy. The printer will copy your document. If we want to print any document from computer, the Kodak home center should be installed on your computer. If you have not has the software, download it from www.kodak.com/go/aiodownloads.
Your issue will be solved.
Instead of pressing the start button to print, you need to press the small ON/OFF button. The start button works to copy/scan. But to print, you will need to turn the printer on first. Once the printer is on, the computer should recognize it fine and allow you to print from your applications.
I would suggest you uninstall the printer once and instal it again. The drivers might have been corrupted.
Hope this helps

Do you have several attempts showing in your print que? Go to control panel, then printers, the double click on your Brother printer icon. See if there are documents stacked up. If they are, Windows will not send anything to the printer until all documents are printed in order. I hope this fixes your problem. Thanks for using Fixya.com
