I get no sound from the speakers or from the computer or if I use headphones. The speakers are connected and working. I have windows XP and the dialogue boxes tell me the device is working. But the system failed at step 3 because it was being used by another caller. I don't understand.

Looking for old Logitech S-100 driver

These are analog speakers and do not need a driver. First, make sure they're plugged into the speaker/headphone jack and not the microphone jack. Second, make sure the computer's sound output is enabled and set the headphone/speaker jack. Third, verify that the sound output is working by plugging in a headphone set or a different pair of speakers. If the computer sound checks out, the speaker cable is bad or the power supply is not working.

No sound on computer

hi nina.this could be a lot of reasons why you have no sound.
Update the audio driver using Device Manager as follows:
  1. Connect to the Internet.
  2. Click Start , and type device manager into the Start Search field. ...
  3. Double-click Sound, video and game controllers. ...
  4. Right-click the name of the audio device listed under Sound, video and game controllers.
  5. Select Update Driver Software...
  6. If your computer is having problems playing sound, try using the Playing Audio troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common problems with your volume settings, your sound card or driver, and your speakers or headphones. ... Under Hardware and Sound, click Troubleshoot audio playback.
  7. If you hear sound through the headphones, the sound hardware on the computer is working, and the issue is probably related to the speakers or speaker cables. Disconnect the headphones and reconnect the speakers. When done, test again forsound using the same steps as above with the volume control slider.
  8. If you are running Microsoft Windows, make sure the speaker setup is correct by following the steps below. Select Hardware and sound or just Sound in the Control Panel window. In Windows XP and older, click Manage audio devices under Sound. On the Playback tab, select your speakers and click the Configure button..

On my windows xp computer i have built in speakers and i used to be able to lisen to u tube now it has no sound tried ajusting volume and all the usual things but still does not have sound says your player...

Hello,

Check the connection between your speaker and your computer. You can also try using a headphone if it produces sound. If none seems to work, then scan your computer with RadarSync to check if the drivers are updated. If the sound driver is outdated, then you would need to update them. You can use RadarSYnc to update by it's not free but affordable and worth your money.

Try the above link for Vista or XP drivers which may be used with Windows 7 in some cases.

The va1912wb came up when I searched under 1912.

This driver is available directly from the viewsonic.com site.

Uninstall the other driver if possible.

Sound only playing out of one speaker in Windows XP

Go into Sound Settings under control panel. There should be a left-right audio control setting in there.

If that doesn't work, try updating the sound driver for your computer.
