Why are the brushes not spinning? The belt is not broken.

Remove the belt and check if you can turn the brushes by hand. They may be jammed up with something in which case remove unscrew clean and reassemble.
If the brushes are turning but the belt isn't report back.

Brushes wont spin ,even though the belt is intact

The belt can develop a worn spot. It will be intact but not spin. Replace the belt and make and remove any hair or other garbage from around the ends of the brush bar.

Should the brushes revolve something got caught on the brushes when vacuuming up

Yes, the brushes (beater bar) should revolve. Even though the brush is spinning, you probably need to replace the belt2_bing.gif because it is stretched. It is probably slipping on the beater bar..

Hi my dual v spinvac's brushes stopped spinning. I cleaned it out, and made sure it was in properly...still not working. What can I do?

Remove the brushes and check the end bearings for free turning. Clean away all wound-up thread, string and hair that might block free turning. The belt may have stretched to the point that it wont drive the brushes or it may be slick from soap residue.

Brushes not turning

If your brushes are rotated by a black rubber belt, chances are that they belt has stretched out or has been worn and you need to replace that belt, also , check and remove any black rubber residue from the brushes and where the belt loops around. Also check for obstructions thru the hoses restricting air flow.

Brushes will not turn

Look for something wedged between the belt and the turning components. The smallest thing can cause a lock down. Make sure hair is not wrapped around rollers causing it to tighten up at bearing sufaces.

My brushes are not turning. We checked the gear and it is turning, but brushes aren't

Take the brushroll out and see if it turns freely just by holding the end. Also make sure that the belt isn't stretched out. Also, before putting the head on the vac, you have to pick the belt up on the "finger" that's in the head. You can verify this by looking into the circle that's cut out of the metal. When the head is affixed to the vac, then turn the belt lifter back around to the proper position and all should be well. If you still need help, you may call us at 1-866-509-1952. Thanks
