Did you had a lighting strike the days before?
This is a typical behavior for some short circuit within the main circuit board. Another reason could be a defective part within the main circuit board.

In both ways the main board has to be replaced which costs more than a new mfc!

Having problem with fax machine

1. Your issue is possibly due to an un-sent message in the queue of the fax spool
a. unplug the fax and wait 30 second then plug it back in the AC socket.
2. check the display window to see if you can fax
3. Select the fax button punch in your fax number if you hear dialing then the fax is sending. Wait for a fax response.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 if not sending.
If this is a multifuncitoning device clear all printing on the PC and try fax again.

UX-B800SE Fax

I had the same "Full Memory" problem & called Sharp. You need to unplug the fax, then hold (press down) on both the "Start/Memory" & the "Stop" buttons at the same time. While holding them down, plug the fax back in. After it's plugged in, you may need to press the start button again. That should clear it.

Incorrect Paper Size Canon super G3 fax

Sometimes turning it off and on again fixes it. However, we started having a problem where it would print out one page after you powered it back on again and then give the "incorrect paper size" message. I've found that by either holding down the green button or repeatedly pressing it while it powers back on (and held until the first page prints) fixes the problem.

Recipient recieves a black page

I have seen the print cartridge not being seeted cause this problem.
  1. Open the front cover by pulling the cover release buttons toward you, and raising the cover.

Slightly lift up on the Laser Printer Cartridge and then pull it toward you, but do not remove it.

WARNING: The Fuser is hot! Use caution when you are working in this area. To prevent damage to the cartridge, do not expose it to light for more than a few minute.

CAUTION: Do not touch the green Photoreceptor Drum. Scratches or smudges on the Photoreceptor will result in poor copy quality and may shorten the life of the cartridge.

  2. Slide the cartridge back down along the slots until it clicks into place.

  3. Close the Front Cover.
Then Unplug an replug in the machine.

Transmission Verification Report

HI Shelia. THere is a button marked as "function" on your fax machine and got to "set up". Press that and select the "print out" group. When you get in there you will see "reports"... select that and it will let you get into your reports mode. Make sure you have transmission turned off. You can set it up to print out every 50 faxes...that seems to work best for most people. You may have to dig around in those menus...but its in there. I just don't have one sitting in front of my right now. If you still can't find it, email me back and I will look monday when I am back at the shop.
