SOURCE: filter light keeps flashing

The light flashes after a certain amount of run time. It is a reminder to check the filter to see if it needs cleaning. Once you have checked/cleaned the filter and reinstalled it, press the filter button for 5 seconds and the light should go out.

SOURCE: Change light bulb in Sanyo Microwave EMS6786V

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (and the owner's manual doesn't address it) some disassembly may be required.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

If it's an over the range type, remove the vent grille across the top and see if bulbs can be accessed there. There may be a panel on the bottom covering the light(s), instead.

If not, chances are you'll have to remove it from the wall, then remove the outer cover. If so, the installation instructions are very handy, and it's best to have two people since the microwave can be heavy and awkward.

If you don't have your instructions, please reply back with your brand and model number.

Once it's out of the wall, the outer cover (wrapper) will need to be removed, just as you'll need to do on a counter top model.

On a counter top model, be sure it's unplugged, but otherwise ignore the instructions above this paragraph.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

Why does my Sanyo PLC-XU51 projector power light blink red?

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy.

Lights flashing

Replace the lamp. The lights flashing will also indicate what is wrong. Watch how they flash. Go to the manufacturers website and they way they are flashing indicates what is wrong (ex. 3 quick flashes, long continuous flashes...etc.) When you change the lamp reset the lamp counter in the menu and clean or replace the dust filters as well.

Sanyo pcl-xu50 flashing red power light when i turn on my projector the light goes green it powers up for about 20 seconds then the power light changes to a red flashing one for about 10 seconds then back...

Projectors shut off when they overheat. They overheat when air does not move through the projector cooling it. This happens when the fans are not working or air filters/vents are not working.
Check to see whether the fans are working. If they are working, open the cover and see whether air filters/vents are covered with dust. If so clean them.

Flashing red Power light, but unit won't start

I had a similar problem, but with no lcd lights showing and the technician diagnosed as being caused by a faulty Ballast which he said caused the bulb to fail. He didn't test the bulb but his experience indicates that even if the bulb was not blown it would have been stressed and it would only be a short time before it fails completely.

When these fail there is no real reason for it it seems but it has been suggested that a probable cause could be not cleaning the filter, at least every six months. The result of a dirty filter would be overheating and this could be the cause of the failure. Perhaps you will have to check the ballast for problems
