You need to go into the settings menu and find the lamp reset and filter reset area, sometimes when you get to the reset part you hold down enter then an additional box may show reset/OK, select OK which should reset the filter hours. Most projectors have the filter reset but sometimes resetting can be difficult to work out. I had an old NEC where you had to hold down the on button of the remote for ten seconds to reset. Hopefully this helps. There may be support from the manufacturers website plus downloadable user instructions.
unplug projector for about an hour, and then remove bulb, and filter, inspect areas for damage, also inspect it to make sure your inserting it correctly. put filter and bulb back in, put covers back on, then plug it back in. reset the timer. if you still have problems let me know.
The red indicator light usually comes on when something needs attention. Most often it has to do with the lamp timer or the filter timer. The projector keeps track of how long it's been since you've changed the bulb or cleaned the filter(s). You can reset these timers in the menu. Be sure to clean the filter before you reset the timer. :)
Once the filter is replaced, plug the projector back in and make sure the projector is in standby mode. Point the remote control at the projector and press the following buttons in order in less than 3 seconds: reset, ←, →, enter. This worked for me. Good luck.
several reasons, it could be you havent had its 1000Hrs service and is overheating or filter needs cleaning or lamp is past its change time and is generating too much heat or sensor can sometimes come away and drop into light path causing false sensing of temp.
