SOURCE: One for all universal remote model URC-3220 Attempting to program direct Tv receiver to remote. Need Receiver code number

Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:
http://www.ofausa.com/remote.php?type=URC3220
just right click and save as on the download links.

if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Many thanks
Mark

I have a "classic electronics" universal remote

I don't mean to be smart. but the best option for you is to go buy a new remote from wal-mart. As this remote sounds like it is an off brand remote and you will most likely never find the instructions for it.

I bought a new TV and need to program my Dish network remote control

Hey scrappy32847,

Congrats on the new TV! I can definitely assist you with this and get it taken care of. As I don't know what TV you have I don't have any codes off hand available.

You can check out this link: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-setup to get the codes to program your remote. I have also listed the steps below to program that remote to your new TV.

Addressing Remote to TV:

1.) Press and hold the clear TV button until all mode lights light up.
2.) Release and TV light will be blinking.
3.) Enter code and press #. The TV button should flash 3 times.
4.) Try functions (Volume, Power, etc..) and see if working.
5.) If no function, repeat steps 1-4 with another code.

If you need any additional assistance you can reach me here or at [email protected]

I lost my code sheet. how do i get a new one.

Try to do this:

Guide to Programming the Remote

Follow these steps to program a device into your remote control. Thereare two ways to program your remote. If you already know the code foryour device, you can program it into your remote manually. If you donot know the code, you can use the code search function to program theremote control.

Using Code Search:

1. Turn on the device you want to program into the remote.

2. Point your remote control at the device

3. Press and hold the "Code Search" button for about 3 seconds until the light on the remote stays on.

4. Press the button on the remote for the device you want to program. Push the "TV" button to program the TV, press the "DVD" button toprogram the DVD player, etc. The light on the remote control willblink and stay on.

5. Slowly press and release the power buttonrepeatedly until the device turns off. Each time you push the powerbutton the light should blink once.

6. Press "Enter" to save the code into the remote and the light will turn off.

Program a Manual Code:

1. First turn on the device that you want to program such as your TV or DVD player.

2. Point your remote control at the device.

3. Press the button on the remote that corresponds to the device. If you want to program the TV, press the TV button.

4. Press the "Code Search" button for about 3 seconds until the light stays on.

5. Enter the code for your device using the number pad. The light willblink each time you push a button. If the code works, the light willturn off. If the light flashes, that means the code did not work. There may be multiple codes for a device. If a code does not work, start from the beginning by holding down code search until the lightstays on and use a new code.

6. Press the power button to test if your device turns off. It it does not turn off, repeat the process with a new code.

Retrieving the Code for your Device:

Ifyou used the code search function to program your device and want toknow the code for future reference, you can retrieve the code from theremote. To do this:

1. Press and hold the Code Search for 3 seconds until the light stays on.

2.Press the device button for the code you want to retrieve. Press TV toget the TV code, etc. The light will blink once and stay on.

3. Press the number buttons from 0 to 9. When the light blinks once, that signals the first number of the code.

4. Repeat for the 2nd and 3rd digits of the code. The light will turn off after you retrieve the 3rd digit.

Programming the Sleep Setting:

1. Press and hold the "SLEEP" button until the light stays on.

2. Use the number pad to enter 2 digits for how many minutes to use forthe timer (01 to 99 minutes). The light will turn off and start timing.

3. Make sure the remote is pointing at your device.

4. To cancel the sleep timer, press the power button once or hold down the sleep button until the light flashes once.

Lost manual. Cannot get HR A591U JVC VCR program to record a future cable tv program. Seems I have tried everything but it does not record as I set up. It will record an existing show by pressing...

Timer Recording JVC VCR HR A591U
Timer recording can be programmed on-screen with
the remote control. The built-in timer allows automatic
unattended recording of up to 8 programs within 1
month.

EXAMPLE: Program a timer recording for the 26th day,
channel 125 (CATV), 11:00 - 11:30 PM on timer program
number 1 (Tape speed: EP).

When a TV is connected with an audio/video cable, turn the
TV and this VCR on and select the video input mode on the
TV.

• After timer recording is completed, the VCR turns off
automatically.
• You can program the timer recording while a regular
recording is in progress; the menu screens will not be
recorded.
• The timer recording will start at 20 seconds before the time
you predetermined.

Press MENU on the Remote.
Check the “TIMER REC SET”
option is selected, then press
ENTER.

Press SET –/+ to select one of
the program lines, then press

channel and tape speed as in
step 3.
NOTE: To record from external
source, press SET –/+
and set the channel to
"L". "L" will appear next
to CH 125 (or 69).

To enter other programs,
repeat step 2 through 4. Or,
press MENU twice to return
to the normal screen.

Press TIMER on the Remote.
The power will go off, the
TIMER REC indicator ( ) will
light and the VCR stands by
for recording.

To cancel a program:

Press the SET –/+ to select the
“TIMER REC SET” option in the
MENU. Then press SET –/+ to
select the unnecessary program,
and press CANCEL to cancel the
program.
