You will want to hold the key of whatever option you are programming (ie tv, aux) and the ok button when you let go the button you held will flash once or twice. Each time you hit the fast forward button the remote will cycle through a code. Keep hitting the fast forward button until your device turns off, then hit okay again.

SOURCE: PS3 does not turn on. When I press the on button, red light turns green thne to yellow then to flashing red.

This is called a System Error. It is about the same as the Xjunks ring of death. You need to call Sony if you haven't broken your seal yet.

SOURCE: my ps3 switched off. i

Hi there, it appears you got the dreaded YLOD(yellow light of death) which means your console has over heated. There is no easy fix for this I'm afraid, if you are anyway technical there are guides out there on how to do this. If not then it's a case of sending it back to Sony. Hope this helps

How do I program an AT&T u-verse remote to an ONKYO RC-866M remote

The RC-866M is the remote. What you need to do is add the codes for your Onkyo receiver into the ATT remote. There are 4 or 5 different Uverse remotes, but most can be reprogrammed by pressing the 'Menu' and 'OK' button together. First add your Onkyo codes to the ATT remote as an 'aux' device. After that is working, you can control the power and volume by adding the 'aux' device (Onkyo) to the power and volume buttons on the uverse remote.

These are all the different Onkyo Receiver codes:
Onkyo: 5002, 5018, 5073, 5074, 5075, 5076, 5077, 5078, 5079, 5080, 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5130, 5131, 5140

This is how to reprogram the S10 style of Uverse remote:

Yamaha yas-101 uverse codes

I had the same problem with my U-verse s10-10 remote and a yamaha SR 300 soundbar. Here is how I got my volume control (but NOT power control) on the yamaha working:

First - always send volume control to the AUX button:
Press and hold AT&T key and OK for 1 second, release, look for 2 flashes.
Now press AUX button. The AUX button will show a long flash.

Second - Go through the manual programing steps listed in the guide for the AUX button (hold AUX and OK for 1 second, release; 2 flashes, punch in code). But instead of pressing the Power button to try to turn off your yamaha soundbar, press the volume up / down and Mute button. I think the code that worked for me was 4045 but I honestly don't remember.

The key is that you have to send the volume control to the AUX button first or it's all a wash.

Previously Requested but no solution: I cannot reprogram the remote for this TV so that I can connect to AT&T Uverse Satellite. I do not have a mdoel number for the TV remote that came with the...

Hello, Mr. Ross.

I'll be more than happy to assist you with this and all of your other Uverse concerns.

First please write these codes down, these are the TV codes for your Mitsubishi TV,
0093, 0150, 0178, 0019 (we are going to do trial and error for these codes till we hit the correct one for your TV.)

Please turn the TV on and point your ATT remote control.
Okay, using your ATT remote control, please press and hold the TV button together with the "OK" button.
All four modes should flash twice indicating that we are programming your remote control.
Now, enter the 4 digit code and the selected mode (in our case it is the TV) should give a long flash.
Then press OK.
Try to turn your TV off and check if it would respond
If not, please redo the steps but this time use the other codes I provided earlier.

If these codes wont work we will do the automatic code finder if you are using the "black" AT&T Uverse remote control.

Using your ATT remote control, please press and hold the TV button together with the "OK" button.
Then press the "scan/ff" button repeatedly with atleast 1 second interval till it turns your TV off.
Press OK then try to turn your TV on again.

Whenever your remote won't respond, try pressing either the AT&T button on top of the remote before any other buttons or the TV button beside the ATT button.

Can't find a code for my ATT Uverse remote. Bought the set in China and brought it back to the US.

Hi! Welcome to FixYa!

You can program your AT&T U-Verse remote control using the Automatic Code Finder. This step cycles through all possible codes for the type of TV you are programming until the correct code has been found. Please follow the steps bellow.
  1. Make sure that the TV you want the AT&T U-verse remote control to control is ON.
  2. With your TV on, PRESS AND HOLD DOWN, the TV Mode Key on the remote control. The mode keys are located at the top of the U-verse remote control. While holding down the TV Mode Key, press and release the OK button. If done correctly the Mode Keys will blink twice. The remote is now ready to be programmed.
  • The next step is to enter the code for the automatic code finder feature. That code is 922. Enter the code 922 using the Remote Control's keypad. You have 10 seconds to enter this code before the remote times out. When 10 seconds have elapsed the Mode Keys will flash once. If this happens just start over.
  • Next steps is start the automatic code finder search. Make sure you aim your remote control at your TV. Then press and release the play button on the remote control. Now press the Fast Forward key multiple times until the TV turns off. Then press Enter to save the code. Your remote now has the correct code. If done successfully the Mode buttons will flash three times. Press the Power button again to turn on your TV.
  • When the code has been entered correctly, the appropriate Mode Key will flash three times. To check to see if this code works, press the Power button. If the TV or DVD does not turn off, then we need the correct 4-digit code of your TV.
Please refer to the image bellow.

Universal remote

Codes for Samsung (one of them should work on your RCA remote)

006,011,014,015,019,027,036,037,077

Programming Your Universal Remote.

The remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with following codes:
  • TV-000
  • VCR-000
  • Cable Box-000
  • AUX is programmed with VCR code 037
For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.

Programming a Device using Code Search:

  1. Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
  2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
  3. Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.

  6. Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
  7. With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.

Programming a device using the Code Lists:

  1. Find codes for each device and brand below.
  2. Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.
  3. Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step.
  4. Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code lists.

  5. Release CODE SEARCH.
  6. With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using another code number from the lists.
