Icemaker does not make much ice

I think I have seen this problem, but can't find it now. Icemaker was stuck, (for a side by side RS2533SW) and after taking everything apart, the ice maker works but ice does not work very often. When I press the reset button, it works fine, but I have to keep pressing the reset button to get the ice to dump. I found a link on the web that said that there is a reset and timing program that you can do from the front panel (where the ice and water dispenser is), but I can't find that info anywhere. The Samsung people also did not find the info. The mechanism all seems to work, it seems to be a programming program. Help

You may need more water pressure. The kits that come with the fridg doesn't make a big enough hole. Go to your local appliance store and ask for a tap that has to be drilled. Place this on your water line, turn off water, drill whole, hook up line and turn water back on.

Could possibly be a temperature sensor, but most likely the heating coil that heats the ice receptacles is burned out. The ice maker needs this heater to momentarily heat the walls of the ice receptacles so that the ice will easily come out of them.

Sorry, but this usually means a new ice maker. They're pretty easy to install and really don't cost that much (less than $150).

Ice maker subzero 690 stuck won't make ice because i think the plastic flap that rises when the ice bucket fills is stuck and won't come down to turn on the water

There is a screw sticking out from the right side of the freezer wall that has a grey plastic spacer around it that acts as a stopper for the ice level arm. I have seen the ice level arm get stuck on top of this stopper before somehow. you just have to carefully bend the level arm around it and move it below the grey plastic stopper. If it is not stuck above that but the arm still will not come down, then the only other solution is likely a new icemaker, as the arm is geared internally to the icemaker to rise and fall as the ice is made.

SAMSUNG MODEL RS2533SW/CUR ICEMAKER MAKING ICE BUT NOT DUMPING

This sometimes happens with my KitchenAid ice maker.
Usually there is a piece of ice stuck on the side where the sensor is that causes the ice to drop. I usually carefully chip away at any ice that is stuck. Once the stuck ice is removed, the ice maker works fine.

Loud clicking soun when ice maker is dispencing ice

I have this refrigerator and have the same problem of a loud popping sound emitting from the icemaker. It is caused by ice cubes becoming stuck between the mechanism and the side of the icemaker. I think it is just poor design. See photo. e7f283a.jpg

Hello, I have an Samsung rs2533sw. the ice maker stopped working. it is at 8 degree. at this juncture, the manual reset switch does not work. if I let it unthaw then it works. once it gets cold it doesn't...

Hey heads up! The ice-cube maker has two parts... In fancy terms the business motor end, and the back-stop. Your back-stop is all busted. Mostly because it's been used successfully as a backstop for a few thousand times. The piece costs about $20, and you can get it at any Samsung parts distributor. The best way to check this is that your ice-cube tray will look like it's coming un-hinged in the back when it attempts to empty the ice.

When it works properly the ice-cube tray is actually contorted about 45 degrees from the front end to the back. The same way an adult male would crush ice.
