SOURCE: toner low, tone life end

There is a gear on the left hand side of the toner to reset the toner count this can cheated be rewinding it. Yes the design is to stop the refillers or at least slow them down a bit. If this fails purchase a new genuine toner but I have seen problems with the switch that resets the toner (Either the spring on the switch has popped off or the main board has failed).

SOURCE: MFC 8460N giving Toner Life End message

I just solved my own problem. Try it for yours. I had been using several compatible toners for the MFC-8460N with no problems until today, as I posted earlier. On a hunch, I went to the local office supply store and purchased one original Brothers TN550 toner and put it into the printer and closed the cover. Everything clicked. Toner End Life message gone. I then took that Brother toner out and put the compatible one back in and still everything was fine. Am keeping the original Brother toner as a "kickstarter" if it happens again.

SOURCE: how to get ride of Toner life end message

You could try resetting the toner cartridge settings. OPen the machines front door where you would replace the cartridges. On the top panel you will see a "clear/back" button. Press it and on the display you will see a reset menu come up. Arrow to each one and hit the OK button. Press "1" to reset. Once you have gone through all close the front door of the machine and press stop to bring the display back to normal.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Open door
press Clear/Back key
press *00
press OK

Do not choose anything for drum replacement. when drum replacement menu comes up, just press the * and then 00, then just press OK.

that should clear the error message, the printer has a toner life counter that needs to be reset.

How to reset toner life end message on dcp8060

The counter reset method depends on the cause of the toner life end message and the condition of the newly installed cartridge.
When a USED toner is installed the reset gear is set to IN USE.
When a NEW toner is installed the reset gear is set to FACTORY SET.

Toner Life End message on DCP-7040

If your cartridge has a lever on the left side near the rear, it needs to be reset, and there's a lever inside on the left that can stick and cause that error. You need to wiggle and pull that lever until it moves freely again.

Toner end life message

i solved the brother mfc8860 toner life end problem
hi guys my name is reedwaan. Im new at this site so please listen up
my brother toner i refilled with toner and inserted it. It said toner life end then i patched the windows close on the sides and still the same problem, then i removed the toner and loosened the two screws on the left by the gears then removed the cover of the gears.
Right at the back there is a funny looking gear with a spring behind it. All you have to do is pull the spring a little bit clockwise and push the gear back on hooking the spring into it so that the gear is spring loaded. close it up then test it, It took me a while to figure it out but i got it right.
NB*  The gear that you push on, is the toner reset gear and when you push it on make sure the teeth dont interlock with the second gear on the left of it. If you have any queries mail me on [email protected]
glad to help out
