Connect the camera to computer using USB data cable, when camera is recognised you will be prompted by the system, and asked what you want to do, select 'open folder to view files'.

If you do not get the prompt, check on My Computer, the camera should appear in there as external or removable disk.

Wt software shld be installed on my lapy to connect to my lapy?

Any burning software will work what ever brand you chose, I preferre Nero, but windows Vista and 7 have software already built in to recognise most all cameras. So you don't really need anything els unless you chose. Wasn't there software included in the camera? there shouls have been a CD or DVD that came with the camera. You can also check the Canon website for more info and software

It depends on what software you have installed for it. If you don't have any software installed for the web cam, you can find plenty of freeware out there such as http://download.cnet.com/Acer-Crystal-Eye-webcam/3000-2108_4-188685.html
which will allow you to view / use your device. You may try exploring your programs menu and looking under those that start with "Toshiba". Vendors typically bundle some software to showcase the hardware they give you in a computer...

See this link for Canon's service notice on your model camera and others. Your symptoms appear to be a failure of the image sensor (CCD), and Canon will repair your camera at no cost regardless of warranty status. Contact Canon as described, or if not in the US, check with your regional Canon service facility.

I have a Canon Digital XTI. It works great but I can not view anything with the view finder. I can only see my settings. Please help. Thank you, Kendall Hodges

The view finder is the optical device at the top of the camera. Is this what you are referring to? If you are referring to the LCD panel on the back of the camera, Canon's Digital SLR cameras (nor other makers, as far as I know) did not have the option to preview your shot on the LCD before the 2007 models came out. A digital SLR camera is unlike a "point and shoot" camera in this regard.

Canon's current digital SLRs which have the "Live View" option, are the Rebel XSi, the EOS 40D, the EOS-1D MkIII, and the EOS-1Ds MkIII.
