SOURCE: cant get accesss to the configuration window

In order to get to the AP, and assuming you just plugged it in, you need to put everything in the 192.168.0.x domain. The AP defaults to 192.168.0.50, so you need to make sure that the router gives out IP addresses that does not include 0.50, or change the IP address of the AP. Likewise, the computer you are trying to log into the AP needs to start in the 192.168.0.x domain, with x being anything but the gateway address (normally 1), or 50.

My guess is you have a router built into the modem and it is giving out different addresses. You can set your network address by hand to be 192.168.0.pick a number like 5 and plug into the ethernet port of the AP (may need a crossover) to get to it.

Post back and let us know what you found.

SOURCE: D-Link 2100 AP is working in Wireless Client mode.

Check in your router to see if your router is set up to be a DHCP Server. If your router and adsl are both set up to be DHCP servers, sometimes they will fight with each other and some computers seem to have problems getting adresses from this kind of setup. Make sure that only one is set up to give out adresses, then check on your second computer to make sure that it is set to obtain adress automaticaly. If someone has set a manual adress in that computer that is not on the same subnet as the router, they will not comunicate. If this does not solve your problem, try putting in manual adresses into both computers: IE 192.168.1.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, Default gateway 192.168.1.1 in the first, and 192.168.1.3 in the second with the same subnet and default gateway,

Connection Problems D-link DWL-2100AP , I see signal but can't Connection when make ping dont see it . and if i make it access point for sending i can see the signal in my laptoop and make Connection ..

Disconnect the router and turn it off then press and hold the RESET button on the back of the router for 30 seconds.

Next, connect the power adaptor from the router to a fully functional wall outlet and connect the Internet cable to the Internet or WAN port on the router.

Then, open Internet Explorer and type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar and press Enter to check if the router is accessible.

D-link dwl-2100ap in WDS mode Received Deauth: WLAN 1 11G STA

I have had similar problems with DWL-2100 and (much less often) with DWL-3200. I have no solution, but a workaround: changing the authentication mode. For example, if the units are using WPA-Personal, I change it (on both) to WPA2-Personal or WPA-Auto-Personal. It doesn't seem to matter which mode is used, it's just the fact of changing it that helps (eventually). You may have to go through the process more than once. Also, realize that although the web interface comes up 30 seconds or so after a reboot, it may take another 30-60 seconds before a link is established, so don't give up too soon while trying these changes.
