I have print server but dont know the pasword of it i need to reset it please help me
SIMPLE SOLUTION:
Get your computer in the same subnet as the printer, then paste this line in your web browser, replacing the IP address of your printer. Your password is now "password"
http://192.168.0.10/ReplyC.htm?SRV_Name=PS-5642D6&SYS_Location=&ADM_CONTACT=&Sys_Password=password&Verify_Password=password&PS_Portname%281%29=PS-5642D6-P1&PS_Descrip%281%29=&PS_Speed%281%29=High&PS_PJLPrinter%281%29=No&Config1=Save
perfect, thank you, now is working.
Thank You
Gracias, funciona perfecto!!!
Thank you, it helped.
GRACIAS FUNCIONO
Thank you, I have reset my dp301p+ server Dlink,
×
As you have noticed there is no "Factory Reset" button on the DLink DP-301P+. That's a shame! In order to recover the password of your DP-301P+ print server, DLink will tell you that the only way is to get an RMA number and ship them back the unit and have them do a factory reset themselves.
But before paying a few bucks in shipping and loosing your print server for several weeks, there is hope! Here are two solutions. If the first one does not work, try the second one.
FIRST SOLUTION:
If you just want to login without recovering your password use this username and password.
Username: psadmin
Password: SYSxxxx
Replace xxxx with the last four (4) characters of the MAC address of the DP-301P+, in uppercase. For example, if the MAC address is 00-0F-AB-03-C1-A7, the password will be "SYSC1A7"
After logging in, you may save your configuration and decrypt the password with the method decribed below or just change the password and forget about this unfortunate event!
SECOND SOLUTION:
What you need is a backup of the configuration of your DP-301P+. (Every good technician is keeping a backup of everything in case of a crash, right?) If you don't have a backup file of the configuration in hand, you're screwed. Your only hope is to send the unit back to DLink or buy a new one, sorry!
Just follow these 4 steps and you will be able recover your password from the configuration backup:
STEP 1
Open the configuration backup file (usualy named Config.cfg) with an HEX editor.
I like to use XVI32 (it's a freeware)
Download it from http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm
STEP 2
The password is located in the file at position 0xC1 to 0xC8, in that order.
It has a maximum of 8 characters. Even if more characters where input in the web interface, only the first eight were kept. So if you have put a password of 9 characters or more (and remember it), try putting only the first eight in the authentication windows, it may just work and you wont need to go further in this procedure.
STEP 3
Decrypt each character using the table below. By example, if you have 0x26 at position 0xC1, the first character of the password is 'X'; if you have 0x86 at position 0xC4, the fourth character is '8'. You catch the drift? If the password has 7 characters or less, the last character will be followed by 0xBE. So if you hit 0xBE, stop there, you're done! There are some gaps in the table below because I have not tried the whole ASCII table, but the most commonly used characters in english and french are there.

Now just take your decrypted password and log into the DP-301P+ using the web interface, telnet or PSAdmin. The username is "admin".
It worked for me, so it should work for you too!
I have not tested this on other DLink print servers but it may also work. At least, it worth trying!
Here are some new infos for Print Server D-Link DP-301P+.
With firmware 3.70 (2007-10-16) the default login name is
admin
with NO password.
Yes! I can Reset Pass for you. No must send it to D-Link: :D
Ok.
1. if you have more than one DP 301P:
- go to this page (eg: http://192.168.1.12/Config.htm)
- save as sourcecode it
- change line: <FORM ACTION=/NULLCFG.htm METHOD=POST> to <FORM ACTION=http://192.168.1.12/NULLCFG.htm METHOD=POST>
- at line newpass and config pass value= your new pass :))
- save and run and click image frist bottom left (V button)
--> Your divce is have new password :))
(for firmware 3.05)

Regarding the dp-301p+ and how to reset.
Unfortunately I could not find a reset button on this device when I needed to erase the ip info I had manually saved via the web interface. This really surprised and annoyed me to no end. Was it such a hassle to include one?
What made it especially difficult for me was the fact that I could not log into the web interface with the ip I had chosen for reasons unknown. So my only choice was to reset using either a CONVENIENT button (assuming it had one) or the PS admin software it came with. I gave the PS admin software (comes on the cd that came with the print server) a shot and it worked.
However there were a few caveats. First you have to manually set the ip of the PC the software is run on to a subnet/ip address that is able to communicate with the ORIGINAL IP the device came with: 192.168.0 10. So I set the PC to 192.168.0 22 with a 255.255.255.0 subnet, ran the PS admin software and voila, it saw the print server. The software itsef is self explanatory, you can choose to 'reset to factory defaults' or change the ip to whatever you want.
Also the PS admin software has to run on XP or lower. It won't run on anything higher: vista or win7. Luckily I had my trusty xp laptop with me. Another thing: I could not find the PS admin software on their website but I'm sure a google search might turn up a hit somewhere else. If also else fails, I'm sure a call to tech support will result in either them sending a link to you or telling you where you can get it.
Hello,
Check this link out this blog entry. It did the trick for me. If you don't have the PSadmin software, look on D-Link's website and you might find it (unfortunately, I could not find it). I found this blog entry while searching Google after D-Link support couldn't help me-Thank you, thank you, thank you www.jcc.dk
Best of Luck
Christopher

Problems with your D-Link DP-300U LOST IP
If you’re like me, you have a ton of computer **** laying around your house. Today I found an old D-Link DP-300U print server laying around and thought that I could put it to good use. The bad thing about these things is the fact that they do not have a hardware reset button on them, so if you forget the IP or the Password, you’re pretty much hosed… or so I thought. After doing some google searches for how to find a lost IP, I came back empty. The PS Admin program that D-Link publishes for use with this thing couldn’t find it on my network either. After some thinking, I came up with an idea.
If you know anything about networking and how networks work, you should have thought about this too. Get a Wireshark capture running. Unplug the power from the print server and then replug it. It’s going to send out an ARP on the network looking for it’s gateway which should be picked up by Wireshark. It should look like this:
In my case, it came back as 192.168.1.253. After changing the IP on my laptop to fit that subnet, I was able to log into it via it’s web interface (there was no password on it thank God!) and put it back to factory settings. Voila! What once was a brick is now a working print server!
I Copied it!
