I have a dell desktop PC and I changed my dell keyboard to sun one just because it is more comfortable and better to the touch, anyway I got some keys mixed up, is it possible to correct it? I would hate to come back to the old keyboard. Thanks
There probly no way for you to fix this but the manufacturer can. Call them or go back to where you bought it and ask for a new one and tell them that this one's keys are scrambled up

There is typically no FN key on a desktop PC keyboard if it is full size. The Dell website does not show FN keys on their standard keyboards for desktops. A mini keyboard would have one however. You can buy a mini keyboard for your PC, which has a FN key:
Gently remove the key. Blow air on it with a can of air spray. Then blow air on the area beneath the 9 key. Then look to see if a little piece of grit is in the board beneath the 9 on the board an in the 9 key.. If there is you're going to have to get it out. Fine tip tweezers can do that. If this doesn't work, as a desperation move, since you have nothing left to lose, put it in the upper rack of your dishwasher without the plastic 9 key.
If that doesn't work buy a dishwasher-safe Logitech 410 keyboard for your replacement. You may get a better price on eBay than Amazon. DO NOT pay the list price of $40 + S&H to Logitech. You'll get a much better deal elsewhere. They also are great keyboards and they have a great touch. I'd buy one or two for later on anyway. They're not going to be available forever.
hello dears i have a Inspiron n5010 dell laptop, the keyboard and touch pad isn't working without any reason. i used to update driver , dell diagnostic feature but they aren't work. is there any way that can help me to solve this issue without change the OS?
It seems that the keyboard is not communicating correctly with Windows 7 or your operating system, maybe even with your Dell PC, remember that Dells, Compaq's and other major PC companies program their systems so that consumers will only purchase their factory products. First make sure that you have installed the correct drivers for that keyboard, also try swapping with a friends keyboard and see if the problem continues if it stops with a keyboard swap then the Microsoft keyboard is not compatible which seems rare but possible. Good luck.
try to change the mouse or keyboard from serial connection to usb, or likewise, might be both of them are conflicting..if both are usb...also update the drivers, try it.,,
Unplug the cord from the power supply unit that will drain the jucie from it. If it comes back up make sure in your bios you disable ACPI power management also in windows as well if you cannot get it back up then replacment of the mainboard is in order..
