When scanning to a PDF file for multiple pages from the glass, the file won't process and create. I have tried a RIP and clean re-installation of the software but it doesn't make a difference.

As stated above, I have performed a clean re-installation but it doesn't make a difference.

I have also tried installation of just the OCR by itself from the OEM CD and it doesn't make a difference either.

XP service pack 3. I have also tried to get this issue solved by calling Lexmark Tech support. They had me uninstall adobe, OCR Presto!Pagemanager and the Lexmark printer. Then after a reboot I reinstalled Lexmark, OCR and adobe in that order. I have even tried different releases of Adobe thinking maybe the latest update to Adobe messed it up somehow, but it didn't make a difference.

I tried updating the printer software as you instructed even though I had already tried that days ago from the Lexmark site, but it still hasn't made any difference at all. My problem still exists. :-(

Make sure that the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer. The software aids in creating PDF files and combining multiple-page documents into one file. The software is only available on the installation disc that came with your printer. If you don't have the install disc, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center for assistance.

What is the operating system installed on your computer?

  • Anonymous Oct 20, 2011

Try to update the printer software. Go to this link:http://bit.ly/pwwl1Z. Download and install the software. After the install process, try to scan again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Maybe it would be best to contact Lexmark Technical Support Center. This issue needs further troubleshooting.

Printmastert, if you were to read my comment in it's entirety where I stated my operating system, you would have seen I have already contacted Lexmark. You are sending me in a circle that I will not repeat. You are absolutely no help at all.

How do I scan multiple pages to one file using a deskjet 2512 printer/scanner

On the control panel, select scan to computer and choose PDF.

If you are using the sheet feeder, it will scan all pages and create one file with them all.

OR

If you're using a scanner glass, i.e. one page at a time, when the first page finishes scanning, you will get a message asking if you have another - answer YES and follow the instructions (basically that means place next page on scanner glass and hit OK/Continue). Rinse and repeat until you've scanned all pages then answer NO.

You should find a PDF file in your HP Scan Folder usually named "scan.pdf" unless you've changed the settings. (If there is/are already scanned files in that folder, they will have consecutive numbers, e.g. "scan001.pdf" "scan002.pdf" etc

Scan multiple pages pdf

1, Double-click on the printer icon on your Desktop and select the Scan a Document or Photo option from it. Lift the Scanner lid and place the first page with scan side facing down.
2, Check the scan settings and click Scan document to file. Click the Scan button, and the scan process will begin. Now remove the first page and replace the second page on the scanner glass. Click on the "+" sign located at the left-hand side of the display.
3, In the same way, continue scanning other pages too. Once you completed scanning all the pages, click Done after saving the file with a file name.
4, You can change the destination name in the printer settings. In this way, multiple pages can be scanned as PDF.

I am trying to scan a multiple page document into a single pdf document on my HP C7280 but it scans each page to individual images. Any suggestions?

In Adobe Acrobat:-
From 'File' select 'Create PDF', 'from Scanner'.
Scan the first page and the program will ask of you for 'Next' or 'Done'.
Select 'Next' until you have scanned the last page, then select 'Done'.
You can also make the document searchable by carrying out an OCR on it under 'Documents', 'Recognise text under OCR', 'Start'.

HP F2280 won?t scan multiple pages into a PDF file

I fixed this by Installing the full suite of programmes on the installation CD, specifically Installing the "OCR Isis" programme (or Iris, not sure).

I had the scan-to-pdf option, but then when I reinstalled my system it was no longer available. I tried updating Adobe Acrobat reader to v9.0 and I don't think this fixed it. But at the same time I installed the "extra" programmes of the HP Installation CD, and then the scan-to-PDF feature was back.

So basically, install the COMPLETE set of programmes on the HP installation CD seemed to fix this.

I have a HP Deskjet F2180 printer, but I suspect that the HP software is generic across alot of its product range.

Cheers! - Hope this helps someone.

How do I add multiple pages to one scanned doucment?

Open your Adobe Acrobat (e.g., 9.0 Pro), load your pages into the document feeder (fewer than 30 at a time), then ask Adobe Acrobat to create PDF from scanner (File/Create PDF/From Scanner). Canon MP530 as the scanner and click OK. Works like a charm!

HP C6180 will NOT scan multiple pages into one file

If you want to scan multiple pages, go to HP Scan Pro, click on the SCAN menu, and then make sure that "Documents" is checked under "New Scan." This will allow you to scan multiple pages and it will scan black n white or color...whatever you place on the glass.

Scan multiple pages to one file

Hi Clint...

There are several programs available for downloading that work as print to pdf... some free some not. You can try pdf creator it's free and works well for me, the download isn't very long and the install is super easy.

after you install the program, you should see a pdf printer in your printer selections. You don't want to try to save your file, you have to select print and then select the pdf print to file option in your printer selection. Print the first file to a file you create to save it as a pdf. for the subsequent files you will need to choose Append to an existing pdf file and select the file you have created.

Test the file to see that both of your scans are in there and that they are in the order you want them to be in. If all that works find, you can follow the same procedure with each scanned page and they should all end up in one file.

the pdf print to file is also a great way to save webpages in one single file :)

hope that helps!
