My Ben Q GH 600 got shut down due to old batteries. Now it is not starting despite having new batteries.
Your camera will work with AA batteries.
Always be sure the batteries are charged.
Insert the batteries correct plus to plus and minus to minus. Only one battery the wrong way around and the camera won't work.
Check contacts of the batteries and in the battery compartment of your camera. Dirty or oxidised contacts can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera.
Always charge the battery before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period.
Also check if the battery door is closed correct. Most cameras do have a switch connected to the battery door. If the switch does not work correct, it could be you can't switch on your camera.
Do not use alkaline batteries unless it is absolutely necessary. In some cases, alkaline batteries may have a shorter service life than NiMH. Alkaline battery performance is limited, especially at low temperatures. The use of NiMH batteries is recommended.
Never use manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries in your camera. They can't deliver enough power and can start leaking, causing damage to your camera.
Camera hang
Always when your camera acts strange, switch it off. Wait a few seconds, till you are sure it is not accessing the memory anymore. Then remove the battery (ies). If possible first charge the battery (ies) Than replace the battery and switch on the camera. If the error comes back, you have to assume something serious is going on. In which you should contact a service centre or repair shop.

How to get new battery replaced in mumbai
Not even the manual is telling me what type of battery it is (except that it is a Lithium-ion battery)
Check the battery for the type number, and google for the battery. I found cheap but good batteries in China. I bought them with Paypal and got them in one or two weeks. If you are in a hurry, buy it closer to home, but still on the net.
Cant take a picture
Did you check the battery(ies). Because it looks (almost) nothing works. Be sure your battery(ies) are charged and ok. If you do have a multimeter, you could check the battery. On the multiemeter the voltage should be a little (few tenths of a Volt) higher than what is printed on the battery. When it is just lower you habve to charge. And when after charging the voltage stays below the printed value, the battery should be replaced. When using more than one battery in the same apparatus, the batteries should be exact the same. Sort, brand and age. Never mix batteries when used togheter.
I cant open
You can check the camera's menu if the camera is recognized as "drive" by computer.
