Hi, You need to activate a add hardware to your mac, or plug and play so it will recognize the Hitachi DVD HDD Camcorder. Also you might need a plugin application software in order to play movie or video. hope this info will help you to solve the problem. Contact us if this will not work for you.

Mac's camera editing only goes as far as iMovie. Importing more footage is almost impossible. You may be able to find a few back routes though. Hope that helps.

Hitachi does not appear to have any driver downloads on their website, http://www.hitachi-homeelectronics.us/tv/products/camcorders/hybrid/index.html, but you can try emailing their Product Support to get help specific to the Camcorder: [email protected]

I would try the following:

1) check for an update to the image mixer software here

2) see if jvc customer support can/will help

3) uninstall the image mixer software and try using windows movie maker instead

well the camera should have had a d with it, if you have lost it the pogram for the camcorder is
image mixer 3
but before ou do that you have to finalise the disc
