How do I copy the files to my computer?
• Windows XP
After connection is established, simply drag-and-drop files, using Windows the PC.
The DVD Camcorder appears as an external DVD-RAM drive in Windows
• Windows 98SE, ME, 2000
After connection is established, simply drag-and-drop files, using Windows PC.
The DVD Camcorder appears as two external drives such as a removable
Explorer.
If DVD-RAM disc, the movie files will be copied from the removable
If DVD-R disc, the movie files will be copied from the DVD drive.
Hitachi DVD mv730 cannot read disk
I have had this problem and either the disc is not formated or your battery was to low(bad battery) and I have also had bad discs. Just like with blank cds. Hope this helps!

What is the file format of the videos on the DVD-R
Hey! As far as I know, vob is the format of videos on the DVD-R discs.
I think you need a conversion tool and this

Error code 2881
Well Im going through the same thing and no one can seem to figure out what is going on. Ive tried all sorts of disc including a DVD-RAM Video 60 and Im still getting the same Error #2881 Code.

Finalizing Discs
The only reason that you have to finalize a DVD-R disc is so that you can play it back in an external DVD. Once finalized, you can no longer add motion video to that particular disc. Discs that are not finalized can still be played back when inserted in the DVD-camcorder.

As I explained when we were using the camcorder on that very night, to format the disc in the camcorder, you use settings in the menu system - as to which ones, my memory is a little hazy, thanks to the wine.

It doesnt work
The disc type is not correct, cd or dvd or blu ray or cdrw. The new disc in not empty for burning or its not empty.
Worst, the laser head is busted, it can't read disc inserted so it ejects thinking it is reading the other side but not.
