My Saeco Aroma Expresso machine has water leaks

Hi,

I've bene trying to get my Saeco Aroma Espresson machine to work. About 90% of the time when I try to make a cup of espresso, I get water leaks from the top of the portafiller. Sometimes the water just sprays out everywhere - often with the coffee grind..

I thought it was because I had not been precticing - but I don't know if anyone really needs to practice with a home espresso machine. I'm so desparate to get this to work. I have wasted about a pound of espresso coffe grind already.

Please help me...

Hi,

I think you have to replace the gasket in the machine where the portafiller fits on the machine.

Make sure your filter is clean before you replace any gasket.

Saeco how to reset

called saeco helpdesk and with their assistance found the reset button inside the machine (open the top with a screwdriver). there are three termostates. on the middle one there is a button. when you push it you hear a metallic sound. then you have to close everything and put it on again.

how to avoid this problem: it is important that there comes no air into the heater. So you have to watch the water supply carefully and leave the air out from time to time.

Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine.....doesn't draw water.

Hi,

You have to take a bellow pump or similary and fill with water, after that you have to open the steam knob and put force in the water from the bellow pump into the water inlet on the machine.

Hope this will help you, let me know if it works.

Steam nozzle leaking

Hi! hope i'm not too late, since this leaking problem occur's quite often, specially when one's tends to overtight the valve, the proposed solutios will certainly help thousand of happy Saeco owners.
Anyway i happened to live with it but after a second valve replacement, i got fed up with filling too often the reservoir and fixed it at Zero cost. What i did is realy easy:
1- Find a bearing the size of the plunger of the needle valve; the thiny steel ball in a nail polish bottle is what i used.
2- When the electric cord is pulled off the wall outlet, take the cover off, reach to the snap locker and pull it off.
3- Unscrew the needle valve plunger off the cylinder, grind or file the
tip 3/16 of an inch, making sure it is at rite angle cut.
4- Insert the ball in the valve body and push it with the flattened tip
over the vapor down stream and screw. You now have a new valve that will outlast your coffe maker.

Saeco Aroma Espresso pump not drawing water

Hi Espressoless,

You have to force in water to the machine, to this you need a bellow pump or similar and force it into the water tank inlet when you do a priming.
