Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

SOURCE: transferring pictures from my Kodak EasyShare digital camera to my computer

This error message means that the preferences in EasyShare software are set to save pictures to the CD-ROM drive or some drive other than your hard drive. To correct this, follow these steps: Start EasyShare software. Select Tools > Preferences. Select the Transfer tab. Below "Select the location on your hard disk where you want to copy transferred pictures," select Browse. Browse to the desired location on the hard drive where you want to transfer your pictures. The default location is: For Windows 98/Me Operating Systems: c:/My Documents/My Pictures/Kodak Pictures For Windows 2000/XP Operating Systems: c:/Documents and Settings/user name/My Documents/My Pictures/Kodak Pictures Select OK to return to Preferences, then click Apply and OK to save and close the Preferences. Reconnect the camera, and transfer the pictures.

SOURCE: kodak cx7430 digital camera will not charge

Try taking the rechargeable batteries out of the camera for a few seconds and then put them back in.

SOURCE: red flashing light on battery indicator on the loading dock.

My Z760 does the same thing. When that happens I run the battery completely down by taking pictures until it shuts down. Then when I put it on the dock it charges properly. Don't leave your camera on the dock all the time and don't try to always keep the battery fully charged--instead it will develop memory and think it needs to be fully charged to run and will give you a low battery signal earlier than it should. Wait until you actually get a low battery signal before charging and it should help, but mine will still give me the red light sometimes. Then I run the battery out like I said before. I hope this information helps. :-)

SOURCE: Kodak EasyShare Z760 won't charge.

The problem might be that the battery has developed memory and won't charge further. My first battery used to do that, but then I read that you shouldn't leave the camera on the dock all the time nor keep the battery fully charged all the time because of the problem of developing memory. You might try running the battery completely down by taking pictures until it shuts down. Sometimes when my battery is low the dock won't charge (but goes straight to the red light), but when I run it completely down when I put it on the dock it charges properly. I hope this information helps. :-)

Camera wont charge

Hi, if you are using the KLIC-5000 battery try to clean the metal contacts on the battery. Try also to remove the battery of your camera dock your camera on the docking station then turn on the camera, if the camera will not turn on it means the charging mechanism of the dock is defective. Now if the camera turns on it means the battery is defective that is why you can charged it.

Battery will not continue charge after a few seconds

Run the battery all the way down until completely dead and then try recharging. Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries don't develop a "memory" quite like the old nickel cadmium (Ni Cad) batteries, but this seems to work when my cell phone won't hold a charge for more than a day.

This happened to me. The cause was the battery did not fit into the case, This led to poor connection of the battery. After I fixed the loose battery , it worked perfectly till today.

Pictures not transferred to the computer

The cause and solution may include one of the following: The AC adapter or USB cable is not securely connected. Check the connections, and then try transferring pictures again. Kodak EasyShare software is not installed. Install the software. There are too many programs running on the computer. Close all software programs and try transferring pictures again. The camera was removed from the dock during picture transfer. Replace the camera on the dock, and press the Transfer button. The Transfer button was not pressed. Press the Transfer button.
