If there is a memory card inside the cad slot, take it out first. Open the camera. When the "high temperature camera" error appears, after it goes off, "BLOW AIR INTO THE CARD SLOT BESIDE THE CAMERA SEVERAL TIMES. I have blown air manually by my mouth. Then you can put back the memory card back or you can just simply Turn-ON sa camera. See if it work. It works fine for my CX7530 (i got this idea thru trial & error). Stupid kodak service center won't help, they just want to service my camera for almost half the price that i bought mine, & even suggested that i  should buy a new one.
I hope this works for you. ----kodak camera user from the Philippines.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

In the camera are sensors too. if the camera becomes to hot, inside it all can switch off. And what to you looks like a good battery, can be one on the end of its life. This can cause the voltage to drop to fast, causing the camera to shut down.

I think you used a SDHC card and that is not compatible with SD. You can use a SD card in a apparatus that can work with SDHC, but not the other way around. Your camera ply accepts MMC and SD cards. Although there are still a few SD cards that can hold 4 Gbyte, most 2 Gbyte cards are already SDHC. To make sure you did not put the lock switch in the wrong position, I put i photo in here, the 64 Gbyte SDXC card is unlocked. The 32 Gbyte SDHC card is locked. Make sure on your card the switch is up.

After taking pictures in quick succession, the internal buffers of your camera fill up. Simply wait a few seconds for the processing to finish (the Ready light stops blinking).
