I have a new Computer, Packard Bell, and cannot get my printer connected. Which is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Lexmark.

Unable To Detect Wireless Network

If the Packard Bell machine is unable to detect a wireless network, the computer itself or the network could be at fault.

Check that a wireless signal is being broadcast via another PC or device, and check that are wireless adapter is installed, complete with the latest drivers, which are available at the Packard Bell website.

Unreliable Wireless Network

If the wireless connection is unreliable, intermittent or very slow, it suggests a problem with the Wi-Fi broadcast.

Try positioning the computer closer to the router broadcasting the wireless signal, or use a signal booster to improve the range.

Download and install the latest driver updates from the Packard Bell website and through the Windows Update tool.

Unable To Connect To Wireless Network

If the computer can detect the network but is unable to connect to it, a network security key may be required. This should have been configured by the person who set up the network. Consult the documentation that came with your router for details of how to change it or generate a new key.

Dis connect printer,go to control panel,un install/remove installed drivers. In my computer properties,go to device manger check USB controller, if found printer device, un install it. restart the system,run driver CD, connect printer USB cable when system searching for the device,check for the printer recognition, do rest installation process..

It won't work if the proper driver is not installed. Go here and download the VISTA driver:

Try disconnecting the printer from the USP Port and re-install the software for the printer. When the software calls for the printer to be connected to the USB, then do so. I have found that most software programs haveto be installed with the printer not connected till told to do so. You may even have to uninstall the printer befor you reinstall the software program. Its worth a try. Bud

If you have a router with two thernet ports you can connect them together using this.
Otherwise you can take the hard drive out and connect it to your new computer but this can be tricky to do.
The other thing you could do is buy a USB hard disk caddy. Fit you hard drive into this and then connect it to the USB port of your new computer. Make sure the caddy will take your size and type of hard disk.
