Sounds like you need new printhead. Take a look on amazon for replacement, here: Genuine Lexmark 100xl 100 Print Head 14N0700 14N1339 Printhead for Lexmark.... I hope this was helpful, Cheers

My printer will not allow me to reset the printhead. I have cleaned the heads and it still gives me a "problem with print head" error.

Your printer and the devices trying to print from it should be connected to the same network. If it is, download our LexPrint app to your iPad http://bit.ly/IMbDlq. Since the Lexmark Pro205 is not AirPrint compatible, you would need the LexPrint Listener installed to a host computer.

Our latest Inkjet printers are already compatible with AirPrint.

Updating the firmware of your printer will help with the issues that you're experiencing. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update. After the update, try to perform the Deep Clean Printhead again.

How to install cartridges

Here's a youtube video on how to install replacement ink cartridges on the Lexmark Pro 205 printer.


If you're doing a new printer install, I suggest you use the installation cd that came with the printer for detailed instructions on how to install the printhead and the ink cartridges.
