How to change the fax # on my HP J4680 all in one printer

If you have reinstalled the software what to do is open up the hp utility which is located in the applications folder and then the Hewlett Packard folder from this application you can then choose under fax settings the fax logs button and this will show you the fax logs for the printer. i think from your printer configs it is on only fax, change it to fax and phone.

Follow the steps below to enable the Fax confirmation on Sent and recieved.

On the printer :

1. Press Setup ( ).
2. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select Print Report , and then press OK .
3. Press the right arrow button ( ) to select one of the following options:
   • On Fax Send: Print a confirmation page every time you send a fax.
   • On Fax Receive: Print a confirmation page every time you receive a fax.
   • Send & Receive: Print a confirmation page every time you send or receive a fax.
4. Press OK .

If you are not set it up as auto receiving the fax, you will need to press the green button to manually receive fax.

i have a hp office jetn j 4680c all in one and every time i try to send a fax it always says fax is set to off help please
