Will not turn on at all....it has been charging over night!
Try this test to see if any response
1 Press and hold the power button.
2 Using the reset stylus,
hold the reset button for about 2 seconds.
3 Follow the
instructions on the screen.
That is definitely a defective unit. Assuming you have a warranty, please return it and exchange for a new one.

• When the main battery charge is low, the power button light flashes amber.
When the battery is being charged, the power button light is solid amber.

This can be a bad battery since you charge it overnight , because overcharging a unit like this may cause damage to the battery itself, so if you try to change the battery that will be better...

try a hard reset
Dell Axim x50 / x50v / x51 / x51v:
Make sure the device is on before performing hard reset. To hard reset, press and hold the power button and press in on the reset button (reset hole) on the back of the unit for about 2-3 seconds. Release both buttons and you will see a confirmation screen asking you if you would like to clear all data in memory. To do so press the Contacts button. To cancel press the Mail button.
IT may be that the mainboard is faulty and would need to be replaced.

removed battery and tried to turn on...no luck.
If the amber light is flashing about every 10-15 seconds....does this mean anything?
